If I wrote everything I think of that I deem as important, the words would fall right off the page, into your laps, past your morning cereal, into your arms and hearts, overflowing, hands full of offerings until you cried ‘uncle.’ But you would not get to work on time.
I want to love the whole world when I am writing, to capture essence, to build songs, note on note, the melody moving through the words. It’s a quick medicine for happiness. It has nothing to do with whether the writing is GOOD or not. How boring would that restriction be? I would rather it be useful.

A little reminder for you ✨
Wellness Wednesday Tip of the day:
If you have no self control over specific foods, it's best to keep them out the house.
When I first started this journey, I wouldn't keep ANY junk food in my house, because I didn't have the self control. If I wanted ice cream or sweets, I would go out to get it, and only a single serving of it. So if you have a weakness that you tend to binge on, or eat uncontrollably... DO NOT BRING IT IN YOUR HOUSE!
Don't just keep it out the kitchen, keep it out of reach all together. Go out and buy it the day you want it, and buy only a single serving, so there are no leftovers to tempt you later!

🎵 Let it go 🎵
🎵 Let it gooooo🎵
I've never actually seen that movie but the line seemed appropriate for making my point. Don't hate me for getting that song stuck in your head. 😁
We've got to learn to stop with the expectations. Let them go. Stop EXPECTING of people. 🛑
As perfectionists, we not only expect a lot of ourselves, but we expect just as much out of those around us. We get upset when they don't meet our expectations but it's our own fault!
When we let go of expectations, we find freedom.
~ Freedom from disappointment
~ Freedom from stress
~ Freedom from fear
~ Freedom from worry
Are you ready to LET IT GO? 🙋🏼♀️

How many of these do you see in yourself? Personally, too many. That needs to change!!!
A friend of mine saw Kevin Hart on tour and told me to read his book. I followed his stand-up before he became a regular name in Hollywood, so a lot of his references were familiar because he uses his life experiences in his bits. Reading about his coming from nothing to becoming something, pretty insightful. He sure went through a lot to get where he is now, and he continues to strive for more in life. Doesn't this sound familiar? Don't we all have big dreams that we want to pursue, but we find every excuse that it just won't or can't happen for us. This past year has made me realize that I easily become comfortable with complacency, and that's a huge factor that has held me back from discovering other opportunities out there. Mixed up in his story telling and jokes, Kevin Hart made great points throughout his book that we all can relate to. This quote in particular stood out to me, and I hope it makes something inside of you realize it too. Happy Wednesday! 👩🏻💻✨👊☺️🙏📚
