The kind of women that Government and Panchyats are afraid of but can't do without
The kind that is judged for picking blue over pink
The kind that can abuse in a kurta
And perform rituals in dungarees
The kind that's not their ideal fit for a gender
The kind they despise yet envy
But write 'empowering' poems for,
Address strong speeches to,
Make sure to appear feminist for-
Those liars pressurized to match up with what's trending in the virtual world
And their desperate futile attempts to tame the storm that they can neither influence nor be.
A joke in the face of society
Participating in equal strength
From Mars and Venus.
They'll meet you again
Next year on as they call it- 'Women's Day'
With updated forwards in their phones And pseudo feminism running in their blood stream.
Look closely then- see, if they are still afraid!
