So proud of myself for killing my first week of keto. For breakfast/lunch today Ham, Egg, Avocado, Cheese, Mushroom, and Spinach cups. I’m not one to cook or make lunches, I absolutely hate it (breakfast is my go to meal)... but since I started this a week ago I’ve been so proud of myself only cheating once (those damn enchiladas got me... on Monday) and I’ve been experimenting with keto recipes. From last Monday I’m down about 5 pounds. I’m actually so excited for this journey. This is me 10 miles into a 26 mile cross country ski marathon.⛷ I'm may be smiling but I can assure you I was seriously questioning my life choices. 🧐Especially why I had decided it would be a good idea to turn up having NEVER cross country skied before. 🙈 The scenery was beautiful, I skied over frozen lakes and through forests 🏔 but I struggled the whole way around. As you can imagine I had zero technique, but luckily that did't stop me. I set out to make it to the end and that's what I did. Often the difference between finishing or giving up is all in your head. 🤯 If you think you can do it, chances are you can. Never doubt yourself. The voice inside your head telling you can't is a liar. If I've learnt one thing from my challenges it's that we can all do WAY more than we think we can we just have to believe it. Easy. 😜

Recognize the power of your emotions and thoughts. They ultimately shape the reality we all are apart of. Observe your thoughts and emotions, this inevitably will change your life. In this day and age we can see the effect of thoughts and emotions. According to Victoria Bekiempis of the News organization Newsweek 18.2% of the total adult population in the United States suffers from some form of mental illness. Some being depression, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia. Like Victoria wrote that only consists of adults. Imagine the other percentage of children and teens that suffer from mental illnesses without ever expressing it and reaching for help. Fundamentally only you are responsible for your life. Even the account for going out and searching for help is solely on you. As well as, you taking advice, integrating advice, and therefore changing from advice. Only you can transform what goes on inside you. Only you can reprogram your brain. Only you can help yourself. This may sound incredibly selfish. There is a fine balance between selfishness and helping yourself, this fine line is based upon the intent you an individual deploys. One can’t really help another without first helping them self. My son is quite the photographer! I am going to make sure to take more back shots, so I can see my progression. I was so happy when I saw this! I’ve been struggling with the scale lately, not gonna lie. And my nutrition has been on point during the week and crap during the weekend. Seeing pictures like this helps me realize I’m doing just fine! Weight loss is a journey and it is a long one. You will lose motivation thousands of times. You will fall thousands of times. But as long as you keep picking yourself back up, you are on the right path. 💕
