We're loving these matcha lattes supercharged with chlorella. This one is from @daiyatitian "Antioxidant lattes 🍵 This is matcha and chlorella in coconut milk with a drop of maple syrup for sweetness." A sprinkle of cinnamon is also nice! 👌

Good and rainy morning everybody! For those who saw my instastories this weekend I don’t have to explain why this was the only effort in kitchen in last few days 😜😂 we went for a wonderful getaway to French countryside stayed in the castle and tasted vine 👸🏼👸🏼oh is it Monday already?! But let’s not underestimate this beauty! There is a lot into fresh bread with fresh cheese and honey. When I was a child I loved bread with butter and honey, salt and sweet combination was perfect! This little upgraded version with some fresh fruit is bit more fancy to look at but the taste is the same - perfect! We love organic food, and we love that we're eating produce that's as close to it's natural form as possible, but growing organic produce isn't without it's difficulties. The up and down weather lately hasn't just been hard on us humans struggling in the muggy and wet weather. As a result, Zheng Lu's standard tomatoes and Ben Zhou's cauliflower and lettuce are unavailable this week, however, we do still have Zheng Lu's fancy tomatoes still available (which are totally delicious!)

@JSHealth Asian Inspired Salmon Marinade: 1tbsp of sesame oil 1/4c tamari 1/2tbsp Dijon mustard 1tbsp honey 1tbsp of sesame seeds Ingredients: 4 salmon fillets 2 sweet potatoes, sliced 1cm thick 1 bunch of broccolini 1 punnet of cherry tomatoes 1tbsp sesame seeds Salt and pepper to taste Method: Pre heat oven to 200c, place potato slices on a baking tray, drizzle with oil, sprinkle with sesame seeds, salt and pepper to taste. Bake for 25mins. Meanwhile mix marinade and set aside. Remove semi-cooked potatoes and add broccolini, tomatoes and salmon to pan, Drizzle 3/4 of marinade over salmon and bake for another 15mins. I had never cooked with tofu before transitioning to plant based. What better way to experiment then with a simple stir fry? Stir frys are so versitile and you pretty much make them according to your own likes. And let me just tell you this tasted that good, I had my 3 year old convinced that the tofu was chicken 😂 Simple noodle stir fry About 200g of tofu cut into 1 cm cubes marinate them with 1 tbs tamari, 1/4 tsp sesame oil, 1/2 tsp fish sauce, 1 tsp rice wine vinegar. I then pan fried them on both sides until browned and semi crispy. For the stir fry I just cooked some chopped garlic and onion until brown and then added whatever veggies I had on hand- broccolini, mushrooms, carrot (I've can also used zucchini and beans), stir them through until coated and then add cooked pad Thai noodles with cooked tofu and another round of sauces. 🌿 Plant-based Omegas 🌿 I added these little gems to my daily routine a few months back... I haven’t taken fish oil tablets since I was a kid (& even then it was rarely). I wasn’t sure what these would do for my health externally, if anything, but knew they would be good for me regardless. 3 or so months on & I’ve noticed a pretty significant improvement in my joints in particular. One of my knees has been sore for years & hurt particularly after running or in certain yoga poses. These balls of joys were one of the favourites from yesterday's wholefood living event.❤️💜 Swapping out cashews for sunflower seeds made them lunchbox friendly, and to be honest, I can't taste the difference.👌🏻👌🏻 Raspberry bliss balls (nut free version) 1 cup sunflower seeds 1 cup frozen raspberries 2 cups desiccated coconut 14 medjool dates - pitted 1 tsp vanilla extract Pinch salt Place all ingredients in a food processor & blitz away until well combined & clumping together. Roll into balls, coat with extra coconut if you wish or even push into a slice tin for convenience. Place in the fridge to firm up. Enjoy!!! 😍😍

Took the kiddies camping last night. They had a blast, but unfortunately there was a total fire ban so we couldn't cook our sausages for dinner. So we had salad, leftover roast veggies and #homemade rolls, and luckily I'd thrown in a tin of sardines so the kiddies made 'sardine hotdogs'. Got a plate of kale, avocado, blood orange & evoo vinaigrette, fresh mint, toasted quinoa and pine nuts. Those pretties have 40% more vitamin C than regular oranges and the dark pigment comes from anthocyanins - a powerful anti inflammatory antioxidant. We started reducing our carbs in November & have been eating this kind of food since. I’ve lost 7kgs so far & my husband has lost 6kgs. Screw you low fat! 😍Alice’s favourite pork belly recipe: 1 kg free range pork belly 1 Tbsp fennel seeds (lightly toasted) 1 tsp coriander seeds seeds (lightly toasted) 1/2 tsp black peppercorns (lightly toasted) 2 garlic cloves, crushed Zest 1/2 lemon Couple pinches of chilli flakes 1/2 tsp dried thyme 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil For the skin: Extra virgin olive oil & salt. Put pork belly into oven at 230 degrees fan bake for 30 mins. Reduce heat to 160 degrees bake (not fan) & cook for 1.5 hours. Grill the pork skin at the end to create epic crackling. Let rest before carving (okay, you can pull the crackling off & eat it). I served this with roasted red capsicums, sugar free caramelised onions, and roasted garlic & kale cauliflower mash. #foodisfuel #LCHF #foodiefebruary #porkbelly #imperfectlywellnz
