This is something I had to learn the hard way! I’ve been working out for weeks now and no matter what, I find that it’s just as much of a challenge now as it was when I first started. However, the workouts I’ve been doing have been much more enjoyable than when I first started too! I’ve been incorporating HIIT workouts from the #8fitapp
as well as 20-30 mins of dance to my favorite songs daily.

Day 7 of the slimdown! I had been very strict for the first 5 days and half of yesterday, but last night I made a veggie pizza and had a glass of wine with kombucha🙈 no ones perfect! But on the left is the day before I started the slimdown and on the right is this morning. I weighed myself on Friday and had lost 4lbs, not sure if it went down to 5. But as you can see, my tummy area is the most affected part! I look and felt very bloated constantly when I started and I have been feeling very light and comfortable with ZERO tummy problems! I really think that’s from eating almost all raw foods, no carbs and I limited my 2/3 cups a day of coffee to just one cup. I’m leaning on doing the slim down for one more week, just to get down to my goal of losing 10 lbs. I did cardio daily (except yesterday) light toning, hiking one day and a weight lifting class on Friday. I think I can do it one more week! and then after, my goal is to eat as raw as possible, still limit alcohol and coffee and exercise daily. 😺

Around a year and a half ago by this time of day I was exhausted. I could barely wait until bedtime. Where I would then lie in bed thinking of how I failed at as a mother, relived every moment at work and hearing the callers cries for help on replay on my mind, wondering if I am failing at being a good wife, worrying about family members health, and so many other things out of my control, and still wondering if I forgot the clothes in the washing machine, again. But I’m #better
now. A #better

I had a freaking amazing wedding yesterday. Didnt do as much walking as I’m used to because many of my weddings are small and I’m mostly standing to take photos, taking a few steps and then stand again to take more photos. .
Going up and down the stairs of the auditorium where the ceremony was taking place with so much ease I wonder if that was really me. I couldn’t have done that and not be sweating like crazy and running out of air had I not been training so hard. The black pants I usually wear to my weddings were a tad lose. I felt like I was floating!.
How should I not continue this journey when I feel and see a huge difference in me. I’m so energized, feel stronger, and can breathe much better!. I just wish I would’ve started sooner!. Dead Bug - The Best Core Exercise You’re Not Doing by @trainerjax.
Ever get the feeling that you’re not ‘engaging your core’ during your workout?
It’s probably because you didn’t warm up your muscle-mind connection beforehand. It’s basically a cheat code for an instantly improved workout.
Use the dead bug at the beginning of your next workout and feel the difference in strength, core activation, and overall workout effectiveness.
🔑 Keys 🔑
1) SLOW. DOWN.
If you do this one quickly, you might as well not do it at all. Take it slow, fee the core muscles control the lowering of those limbs and engaging them to lift.
2) Press your lower back to the floor.
Think about getting your belly button as close to the ground as possible. If it lifts up, you’re risking your lower back.
3) Think about it.
Create that muscle-mind connection by thinking about squeezing those core muscles. Don’t let your mind wander; you’ll miss the benefit.
