Happy Monday! The girls are almost finished with school for the year and I am looking forward to days filled with popsicles, splash pads, day trips, and family time up at the lake house. In the meantime, I am getting the house ready for a special guest and talking about our dining room sideboard on the blog now! Link in bio.
Dip pen calligraphy has fascinated me ever since I was introduced to it. You need a holder, a split nib, ink and paper (that is of good quality as to avoid the ink blotting on the paper). Every stroke tends to be different but improve through time. Letters become more of a flow rather that stiff. Words come to life as you write them. Quotes and lyrics were more dramatic, especially poems. An impeccable work of art once you finish writing a word, phrase, sentence or even a paragraph. Give it a try, give yourself a calligraphy 101 date. ✒️🖋📝🖌.
