Here’s what we can look forward to once we get past winter. Hang in there people! #flowerpower
“She made broken look beautiful
and strong look invincible.
She walked with the Universe
on her shoulders and made it
look like a pair of wings.”.
Only a few weeks in and 2018 is already delivering the GOODS hunny! Who needs SAD lamps and medication this winter when you have gilded ranunculus and Japanese sweet peas? Me TBH.
I love creating unique things. This was one of my favorites. A 6 foot tall wall out of dried river roots and flowers. 📸: @kissthegroomphotography

Roses! Once in a while we do get a request for a "no roses" bridal bouquet. However, there are just so many varieties of roses like garden roses, spray roses, perfumed roses and of course the standard roses. Pictured here are some of the most beautiful garden roses we have used in our past work, namely Tess, Juliet, Keira, Patience and Cafe Latte. Would you still say no to roses or a resounding YES to these?
You guys...how beautiful does the bride look? 😍🌿 Admittedly, one of my favorite parts of being a wedding/event florist is seeing all the photos months later. Especially when the images are captured as beautifully as this! Thank you @haircommandmentz
for letting me share moments from your big day.

“a floral experience for the wild at heart”
I don’t even know where to start with this post.. this is so much more than a brand to me. It’s pieces of my whole heart all smooshed together! & while you can read all about most of it on the new site, I want to tell you about it and what it means to me right here as well.
Tersilla Maria is my grandmother, and one of the most inspirational women I have ever met! She was born and raised in Italy, where she met my grandfather, an American soldier stationed in Trieste! They were immediately smitten, and following her heart, she married him and left everything she knew behind to move to America! In part, Tersilla & Co was created to carry on my grandmothers legacy of love and adventure with a style blending European romance with the heart of American adventure.
That’s not even where My grandmother’s influence and inspiration in my life ends! I’ve told the story before, but when I was 13, I visited Milano for the first time! There, I saw a kiosk selling hand tied bouquets, a very common site in Europe but for some reason, it struck all my heart chords! I went home saying I wanted to be a florist and I never stopped saying it until I started saying that I am* a florist when I was 20 and started Yellow Thistle Designs! So my hope and my heart behind Tersilla & Co is that, maybe if I can in any way, I will inspire you to act when all of your heart chords are struck.
The magnolias are my favorite and most significant flowers in my whole life! I call them my anchor flower because from the massive tree in front of my childhood home to the avenue where I forged some of the deepest relationships in my life, they always seem to indicate “Home” to me. The flower itself represents “yin,” the feminine side of life which is cool because alongside my grandmother and myself, I want to tell stories of strong women and empower women to tell their own stories!
I have no idea what the real name of this vine is - it just comes from my wholesaler in the summertime when I order "vine." AND I LOVE IT. It totally made this all greenery bouquet with its cool texture and shape. Gorgeous ingredients make all the difference, friends! Photo @kampphotography #stonehousecreative
I love plants, of all kinds. The pretty ones that bloom, the kinds that make you feel high and the kinds that feed your belly. But most of all, I love how plants make me feel.
Did you know that scientists have actually studied the affect of plants on our health and well-being? It’s true that having more houseplants actually helps the healing process. The also change our brain chemistry to feel more calm, relaxed and connected.
I shared my thoughts on why homes should have more house plants over @sunandsage.co
// How many houseplants do you own?
Hey Girls Hey! (And guys!) We had a smart man take action after his wifey threw a little hint his way and he surprised her with these pretties today! Even we were a little jealous🤪
Can’t stop with the Cafe au Lait 💫
Those pretty dahlias in there were from my cutting garden. They were the perfect color and bloomed at just the right time for this wedding!
This year I’m trying to focus a bit more on the garden so that it’s happy, healthy and producing lots of pretty blooms and greenery for me to use.
I had a lot of ups and downs last year with the heat, a crazy busy summer season and the furry four legged friends taking out full size plants faster than I could blink 😱
But, every time I was able to use my garden grown blooms I did, and they not disappoint! ✨
Watch our stories tomorrow to get a behind the scenes look at some photo shoot magic! 📸🌸
