As our approach on our Campouts is focused on rewilding our bodies and getting back to basics, one thing you will rarely see are chairs!
The way we sit, and where we do it, changes the function of our bodies. Time spent seated on the floor will help to facilitate movement and improve on youthful movement patterns, in turn, rejuvenating aspects of the nervous system, including our brain!
It will feel a little uncomfortable in the beginning, but over time it will become natural to your body again.
If you do not have an existing injury, we recommend that you spend sometime on the ground each day (say 10 minutes to start with) practicing different way to move between positions (squat, crawl, cross legs, kneel, make up your own). You can practice this while doing other things such as watching TV, reading or talking. Trust me, your body will love you for it later on in life. 📷 @tracy_lee_photography
