So there’s a petition circulating for Matt Smith, the actor who plays Prince Phillip in Netflix’ #thecrown
to donate the difference he makes in pay compared to co-star Clair Foy, who played the Queen, to the #timesup
legal defence fund. It’s one thing to protest the disparity, but trying to compel the actor to donate his salary, even though it was negotiated on his behalf and he probably had no idea what his co-stars are earning, doesn’t seem right to me. Blame Netflix, the producers, even the agents, but not the actors themselves. I don’t know. What do you guys think?
