I PLAN TO DOUBLE MY STRENGTH IN THE NEXT 3 MONTHS!!! Since the age of 17 I’ve had spinal issues that have limited my ability to train for strength. Over the last 2 years especially - additional Shoulder & Hip issues have stopped me from doing Squats & Deadlifts.
I’ve recently decided it’s time to put these limiting beliefs to the test however! I’ve gotten some coaching on my technique and have been putting in the work!
As a result - In the last 2 weeks I’ve improved on each of these movements by 30kg!!! The first barrier was definitely the mental one. The same old story of “You have a bad back and will never be able to lift heavy” came rushing in but the more plates I put on the bar the sooner that disappeared!
I’m now lifting more than my body weight, without straps or belts, for the first time in 3-4 years and I have my sights set on a 100kg 1RM again by July!
A slightly different goal than my usual endurance madness but I look forward to the challenge 💪🏼 💥
