So happy that I got back into the swing of things this week training again with coach @amyschulster.
Feels SO good after taking 2 1/2 weeks off (due to an EXTREMELY busy work schedule)... Which is the longest break I’ve taken BY FAR since I started training consistently years ago!! Off from weight training, off from Muay Thai, off from everything... (other than walking a few miles a day with my dogs). For anyone who knows me, they know that that is very unlike me, extremely rare, and completely crazy for me...
Sometimes we, and our bodies, need a break. And that’s not wrong either. You can ALWAYS, ALWAYS get back on the horse, no matter how long you’ve been off of it. A few days, a few weeks, a few months, even a few years... I’m so used to falling off my horse so many damn times and then getting back up on it again so many times that I had no question in my mind that I would just get back freakin on it when the time came. I would push myself. No one ever got anywhere without forcing themselves to do something that they didn’t necessarily want to do at first. And guess what? Once you push yourself, you feel so much better in the end and you realize just how much it was all worth while. Never, ever give up.
P.S. Learning to love myself even 10lbs heavier than my carb-cycling days ✌️
