Festive fun down the A1 - 9th December 2018
The Striders were out in force near Stanborough Lakes to take on the two-lap five-mile (8km) course around the southern suburbs of Welwyn Garden City. 34 Striders dawned the red vests on a chilly morning but the weather held out and there were some good results, a few personal bests and a lot of the team taking part in their very first five-mile event. (PB’s are only mentioned if the runner has completed a five-mile event before this one). There were 206 runners in the event.

In the age category event, Steve Wells finished 2nd in the MV50 group, Ken Marshall was 3rd in MV60+ and Frances Levy was 3rd in FV55.
In the team event (which consists of the first three men and a lady) were Steve Wells, Tom Sclanders, Mark Dunn and Emma Sclanders. Results to be confirmed but the Striders should be up there.
