Clean eating vs IIFYM
K listen. For 3 years I Stuck hard with the 6 meals - one cheat meal a week ... results physically = amazing | Mentally I was a disaster, but I got addicted to the results.I sacrificed relationships time and school just so I could get satisfaction from other people's comments, likes, and follows. I was LITERALLY spinning in circles and was so desperate for balance. -
After a year of this I crashed and I crashed hard. Burnt out mentally and physically, I developed binge eating, body dysmorphia, and most importantly, I lost myself. I kept hearing the term "clean eating" but was a prisoner to my routine. I never really fully understood what IIFYM could do for my body. I was too insecure in myself to even give myself the chance until I hit a low.
WHAT IS CLEAN EATING - this is the question of the century, there are books, blogs, and vlogs that give different definitions for this and left me and probably many of you thinking "wtf" lol -
Confused, frustrated, depleted, and tired I decided enough was enough. I decided to take charge of my eating and therefor my life by EDUCATING AND BELIEVING in myself. -
IIFYM If it fits your macros! NOW you can't justify eating junk all day just because it "fits your macros"!
YOUR FOOD CHOICES MATTER - this is where people get caught up. Clean eating TO ME is about the QUALITY of food that I am putting in my body. I work (excuse me) fucking hard for my body, why would I consistently fuel it with junk? Now YOU DON'T have to fill your day with chicken, broccoli, and rice all day! FOOD IS BEAUTIFUL! Why?! BECAUSE OF ALL THE VARIETY 😱
I know that when I am eating healthy I FEEL healthy.
