Our hair takes a lot of abuse! We take hot tools to it , spray it with all sorts of products that dries it out, and color it every few weeks without fail. Let’s not talk about mother nature! Ok fine, let’s talk about it since we can’t beat it; as we get older hair tends to become coarse and more brittle and more blah. Oh yea and turns grey! But no worries, I am about to unravel a few dry hair solutions that can help 🤗 Let’s think about ingredients; especially after color treating your hair, hydration is key. Just to name a few products that offer hydration and repair which I love; #salermcosmetics
Hi Repair line , #salermcosmetics
Wheat Germ mask (that’s pretty self explanatory) , #biotopprofessionals
911 Quinoa line with quinoa 👌🏽, and the #biolage
R.A.W line infused with coconut oil, yucca, goji berry, shea butter and Moroccan lava clay. Just as you look for ingredients that will help your hair, you also need to look for ingredients that you should stay away from such as silicone and alcohol. Silicone is known to build a barrier on the hair and doesn’t allow it to absorb moisture and is a topical ingredient. Alcohol, well just like Tequila, it will dehydrate ya!😝Another way to dehydrate your hair is washing it everyday, just know you don’t HAVE to. I praise and worship the person (whoever you are) that came up with dry shampoo… THANK YOU! I personally I push three days on my hair 😬… whatever ok! Natural oils is good for you!!! When you finally decide to wash your hair , do it twice in one sitting (possibly three) and use only a dime size amount of conditioner starting at the ends and always avoid your scalp. I always recommend to finish every other wash with a deep-condtioning hair mask. Finally down to the styling, IF you are styling your hair, keep. it.moving! Staying in one section with a hot tool for too long can burn your already weak hair and always always ( and i mean always) use a heat protectant prior to drying, even if you are planning a “wash and go” you should apply a heat protectant because 9 out of 10 heat protectants have SPF, which can protect your hair from our strong UV rays. Hope this helped!
