Huge thank you to everyone who has supported me, believed in me, wished me good luck , prayed for me, cheered for me and congratulated me this weekend 🙌🏻 Still can’t believe I’m finally the WA bikini overall state champion 🏆and I couldn’t be happier or feeling more blessed 💕🥰 I definitely felt all the love and positivity from everyone so thank to all so much 🙏🏻 I now have the strength to push on for 3 more weeks and bring home that pro card 💪🏻it ain’t going to be easy but I’m a fighter and I’ll be fighting

Yesterday I went to Kmart and it wasn't in the budget 🙈
So how did we fund it? With the Credit Card of course 😩
And it doesn't end there... after Kmart we indulged in McDonalds, courtesy of the Credit Card 😑 $80 at kmart, $25 at Mcdonalds and I'm feeling guilty as hell! It was meant to be a no-spend day, we even had a lunch packed!
Next thing on the to do list --> CUT UP THE CREDIT CARDS!

Starting with the basics seems so.....basic, right?
But they’re the basics for a reason! Basics form the foundation for everything else that we do. We can’t build ourselves up without a strong foundation. -
What does that mean though? There are so many ways and places to apply this to life.
You can’t write a novel if you don’t know the alphabet.
You can’t run a marathon if you can’t run a mile, or to the end of your driveway.
You can’t finish a triathlon if you don’t know how to swim. -
It’s awesome to have big goals. But you’ll never reach them without a strong foundation. Start with the basics. Get them right. Then build on them. -
New kicks and socks. I know barefoot is awesome but I just can’t workout barefoot, lol. So instead, I get good solid shoes and socks. My basics. 😉

Day 💯 complete!!! I was aiming for a 9:30 mile. My pants were falling down 🤦♀️🤣 my shoe came untied (and then politely tucked itself into the shoe 😳) Em was texting and calling me.... the universe was trying really hard to not let me get my 9:30 mile. I did not get a 9:30, but a 9:36. In the grand scheme of things I’ll take it. I know my posts lately have all been of my great runs. But those of us that run know that’s not always the case. The last few weeks have been more challenging and my daily miles have almost become like a chore and I don’t want that. I’ve got too many big goals this year to let a run streak derail me. So I will say goodbye to my run streak but I’m not done. I’ve got a half marathon and an Olympic distance triathlon to conquer. I’ll still be out there hitting the pavement and mashing the gears and swimming the laps. Add these to your next leg session for a good little quad burn.
These can be done anywhere and they don’t have to be weighted! A resistance band or both, a band and weight is fine too!
I added weight for extra burn to my leg Day finisher and did 50 reps.
But it’s totally upto you!

➡️ keep your core braces
➡️ make sure your knees do not turn inwards
➡️ don’t come too high up at the top of your reps otherwise defeating the “pulse” effect
➡️ take your time, control those pulses, feel the buuurrnn baby 🔥

Big leg session as per usual felt superb. Hack squat 4 1/2 plates +5kg a side for 6 reps & back off 3 1/2 +5kg/14 new weights for new reps, back on the PB train feeling good all round cardio definitely making me feel fitter when performing exercises and in general life. -

Honestly, I'm amazed that Alex and I have made it this far together without a single drop of alcohol between the two of us.👫
SO... it's got me thinking, if we can achieve this in one month, what could we achieve across a year. 🤩
There's still 10 months left of this year so 10 more things we can challenge ourselves to. Watch this space 👀
But let's be honest, as great as it feels staying sober for the month, there's no way I'm giving up wine completely for any longer than the shortest month of the year. 😄🍷

Sharing memories of yourself when you are not at your best is always hard, even when you have gotten to a place that is oh so much fun to celebrate.
It makes you ask, “How did I ever get there?”
My answer: I allowed myself to get to an extremely unhealthy place because I was working so hard to take care of everyone else. It is hard as a parent to invest in yourself when your family needs you.
The reality I had to embrace was that I was going to either invest in my health now or invest in my sickness later. I really wasn’t doing my family any favors by being unhealthy and heading further in that direction.
I CHOSE HEALTH NOW AND OMGOODNESS...Why did I wait so long?! I am still on my journey but with the help of some AMAZING coaches and my super supportive fam and friends, I am healthier than I have ever been, physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally!!! I was recently asked what the best part about my transformation was.
My answer...aside from the fun new wardrobe...GETTING TO HELP OTHERS FIND THE SAME FREEDOM!!! Who is coming with me on this freedom train?!
We may struggle with the past because we now know it is not all that we can be.
I know I have had those moments where I just feel like I wish someone would have met me at a different time in my life. A time when I began being more grateful and was making a conscious effort to be better.
We should be empathetic to people with these struggles. They sense in themselves that they can be more. If they did not, then they would have found contentment knowing they could be nothing other than what they were.
Have empathy for the works in progress.
That is all we ever are.
