Happy Mid Autumn Festival folks! We’re enjoying our mooncakes and washing it down with some 100% natural coconut water. Enjoy the beautiful moon!
Thanks to everyone who supported us at Food of the Future jam last Saturday! It’s so nice to see you guys in person ☺️ Who agrees we should be at more markets and events? 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♂️
Food prep done on Sunday for this week. Ever since starting an office job in town, I’ve been trying to dedicate Sunday afternoons for food prep. Plenty of vegan food in town but gut friendly ones aren’t cheap and cheap ones aren’t always gut friendly. So I try to bring my own ☺️
Steamed potato, edamame, kelp cold dish, soup stock (same ingredients as the one in prev post), garam masala lentil patties, tempeh and “instant” noodles for the next day’s lunch. Also washed some hardy veggies so they are ready to use 🌱
Udon with veggies + coriander and ginger sauce (yes I eat a lot of noodles lol) // if there's one thing I'm addicted to, it's this coriander and ginger sauce, despite it not being the cheapest ($8.40 for a 250 ml bottle)
I've probably gone through well over 15 of them :) 8/10 - the only things I would change are the price and the amount of oil
Why, YELLOW there.
Our new-look organic Asian cooking pastes are now available on Amazon.com! Keep an eye out for them on shelves in the US, Australia and Singapore too.
Brand new look, same GREAT taste!
Another cruelty-free, vegan find from iherb. It's really affordable too at SGD 3.98 per soap bar of about 140g! 😊🛁 Thanks to iherb it's so much easier to shop cruelty-free without breaking the bank and there are tons of choices too. (As much as this sounds like an ad LOL not a sponsored post, am just a huge iherb fan HAHA.)
raspberry banana smoothie bowl w circles of cacao nibs, chia seeds and coconut shreds 🌞
One of my fav vegetarian food court stalls around the area (better than the one at HDB hub level 2 imho). Yumz
Nourishing weekends ☺️
Burdock, arrowroot, ginger, daikon and kelp soup cooked in rice cooker. Pasta because i ran out of suitable noodles. Plus lots of sesame oil & grated some nagaimo into soup for extra smoothness + digestive enzymes 🌱
I use rice cooker a lot, not only because I’m typical Chinese 😂, but it also enables multitasking in the kitchen. Simply peel & cut the soup ingredients and add them into rice cooker. Add enough water to cover them about 1 inch above. Cook for at least one hour, drain out the ingredients and season soup with salt & pepper to taste. Pour soup over cooked pasta. While you’re cooking something with liquid in the cooker, most cookers will allow you to steam at the same time. So a rice cooker is the only machine I can’t do without in the kitchen!
Beetroot chickpea patties for next week..
I HATE beetroot and this is the only way i can eat it without feeling like im eating sand lol
What a lovely green sight to behold 😍 Vegan pandan loaf! Mmmm. Do you like pandan flavours? 😋
A big thank you to Cherish's @sayangsonline
mum for gifting me yellow noodles! This dish is kinda like Mee Bandung, loaded with:
- Mushrooms (shitake, enoki, shimeji, oyster)
- Chye sim
- Air fried tempeh
- Fresh basil
Since I was young, I always had a fascination with creating delicious consumables. It started off in my grandparents' home, when I made drinks using Yakult, flavoured syrups, instant coffee powder, Milo, Horlicks, etc. I often spilled it on their carpets too because the mugs I used were huge and I filled them right to the brim lol. I mean, if you're gonna spend time to create something spectacular, you might as well go big, am I right? Just make sure it tastes good (and is vegan of course!) 😂

Bread with vegan cream cheese...I swear it reminds me of sour cream
9/10 - just wish it didn't have so much oil, but at least it's palm oil free! :) Found in Mustafa for $7.90 (or $6.90 I can't remember)
Yummy Indian food for lunch; a treat from a kind colleague and friend at work. 😋
music scores & scored bread; japanese flour & german bread ☁️
I’m failing so bad at instagram right now. Feel like it’s too late to post these pics.
Anyway, the first of many Eight Immortals pics to come.

AND I LEFT MY METAL STRAWS IN ENGLAND AHEJFKFLF T.T (Although when I had a chance I’d drink without a straw)
matcha oats with chia seeds and grapes 🍇
Am beginning to see Sunlight following me where ever I go.....
Piggy mooncakes are my favourite part of Mid-Autumn Festival because they gives me a momentarily relieve back to my childhood carefree, joyful self that seems to be buried by the burden of adulthood😞
However, I was utterly disappointed with the pigglet mooncake I purchased from a well-known shop that looks so cute and delicious with its glistening, tan skin, but tasted so awfully dry inside out😢
To sow back my broken child-heart, I made my own version of healthy, yummy and cute little pigglet with rabbit and sheep friends as companion. Gluten free, refine sugar free, half raw cartoon mooncakes that makes me happy just by looking at them😊

So damn good. Roadside stall at the Chatuchak market. Wasn’t on the menu but requested for stir fry veggies with no meat, omelette and rice. One of the freshest veggies I’ve had .
sometimes you just order a very big bowl of mala and finish it on your own
issa cream cracker in prata form! :P

roasted brussel sprouts, baked sweet potatoes, spinach, napa cabbage and tomatoes with some pb-soy sauce dressing
This is the kind of dessert that is almost healthy — you get your whole grains from Barley, Protein from Beancurd skin, and lots of antioxidants from Gingko nuts 💕#animalalliessg #plantfuelled
Sooo it’s recess week!! Here’s a side view of Nam Kee (南记)’s red bean pau, aka the mix-match between a less sweet Lin Kee (林记) + a hearthier Kong Guan pau :’) ☁️
(P.S: This background gives off russian doll vibes right! :3)
