A 70-year-old mee pok stall by day (where the local film Mee Pok man was filmed) and a Yakitori bar by night, Bincho is one of the hippest bars about town! This grungy open-concept yakitori restaurant-bar is run by chef Asai Masashi, who whips up some stellar grilled bites featuring chicken. If you’re here after the mee pok stall has closed, get into the establishment via its unassuming entrance (look out for its easy-to-miss gold lettering sign) at the open-air carpark. Otherwise, you can make your way from the front; just venture in. Drink-wise, expect playful Japeritifs concocted by Stefan Ravalli of The Library. (Image credits to Bincho)
"I have always felt that the act of seeing and recording is tied with the act of remembering, so from very early on, we wanted the framing to be wide and the shots paced in a stately manner." - Tan Pin Pin.

! Occupying a colonial house dating from 1910 within the Botanic Gardens, it’s only reason enough that the kitchen will have an in-depth understanding of how best to use herbs and plants in the cooking process. Indeed, the chef himself describes his contemporary cuisine as 'gastro-botanica' and has been since awarded one Michelin Star in 2018!There's a choice of three rooms: Claret Corner, The Verandah or Whispering Corner which overlooks the patio and is ideal for a romantic dinner! Memories of Singapore River is a well-made documentary on this beloved subject of many a Singapore painter. The interviewees are three living artists, headlined by one of Singapore's best, Lim Tze Peng, who's now in his latr 90s!! I wonder how many made the time to view filmat36's production during Singapore Art Week, but it is well done, and gave me a new perspective of the artists' passionate focus of the river in their art. I enjoyed too the descriptive reminiscings of singaporeans who grew up along the river.
In light of the official reopening of @ladymsg
