We like to do things a lil different now and then. Not because we want to be cool 😎 but because we believe you deserve the best (even when it means taking extra nights of preparation and unconventional methods)! Come try our reverse G&T selection - we infuse various ingredients in tonic water, using sous vide and vacuum methods, and fizz it all up only on demand 🍸#beatthat
Happy Friday 😁✌🏻 Enjoy the weekend. Spending a little time with bff at @artemis_pastry

Lei cha ( 擂茶) also known as 'Thunder tea". The custom of Lei cha actually began in the Three Kingdoms period or even Han Dynasty. Amazing. Didn't know it had such a long history. It is very popular among Hakka people.
Hakka Lei Cha is a low fat, low cholesterol diet ideal for body detoxification and weight management. The highlight is the green soup with flavours of basil and mint that is served on the side. The rice was topped with peanuts and a variety of vegetables like cabbage, green beans and choy sim.
Featuring the Lei Cha from Thunder Tea Rice. Enjoyed the fresh crunchy vegetables with crispy nuts. I usually will pour the soup into the rice and enjoy it together. ==============================

Still riding the brown sugar hype, amazing looking brown sugar fresh milk and brown sugar milk tea. Taste wise... slightly bland as the brown sugar taste was not strong enough...
Emerald marble swirls topped with a party of chocolates dipped in gold ✨✨

So in love with the Tea Blending Bar set up specially for DBS Bank 2019 Spring Festival last week. So glad that the guests had much fun choosing from different herbs and botanicals and creating their own personalized tea blend! ❤️
Now this plate just screams WEEKEND 🙌🏼☀️
Tasting just like Singapore's iconic local delight, our Laska Pizza has been one of the bestselling dishes ever since we introduced it in May 2018. With just the right amount of laska paste, it comes with everything you would find in a bowl of laksa: prawns, squids, clams, quail eggs and fish cake. Don't need to think, just come and try lah!

8 Course Meal
$32.80++ per person
The Elemen Appetiser 4/5
Pleasantly surprised at there being 3 items, each stimulating different taste buds!
Rosemary Breadsticks with Raspberry Yoghurt Sauce 3/5
Bread was cold and hard, the yummy sauce was wasted!
SALAD (Choose 1 out of 4)
Loved the non-creamy dressing, and the amount of quinoa given was just nice.
SOUP (Choose 1 out of 4)
5 Elemens Soup 4/5
Made with essence of burdock root, shiitake mushroom, radish, and radish leaves, this soup is said to have anti-cancer properties. Taste-wise, it's comparable to double-boiled Cantonese fare.
APPLE CIDER 4/5
Gave a nice jolt to keep my perseverance levels up, cos I was starting to feel full already!
MAINS (Choose 1 out of 12)
Blue Flower Tofu with Black Truffle Wild Rice 4/5
Loved the unique taste and texture of the Tofu, and the rice was really fragrant!
DESSERT (Choose 1 out of 4)
Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream 3.5/5
Disappointingly lukewarm and literally bite-sized portion. Taste-wise it's actually on point though!
BEVERAGE (Choose 1 out of 8)
Iced Coconut Mint with Butterfly Pea Flower 2.5/5
Doesn't work for me, has a strange type of sweet taste.
On the one hand, we were told we had 1.5 hours to eat our meal as it was Sun afternoon. On the other the foods came quite slowly, and I was wondering if they were going to just chase us away cos 90 min later, there were still 2 unserved courses.
It was surprisingly crowded; I thought no one goes to Millenia Walk one haha! Disliked the noise and intrusive CNY music.
Service and ambience issues aside, this is the yummiest and most value-for-money vegetarian food I've ever eaten, thanks to the unique and delicious sauces. Wouldn't mind returning to try other permutations of their 8-course meal if I'm dining with a vegetarian.

THE CLIFFORD PIER @fullertonbayhotel
Singapore Heritage Afternoon Tea
$48++ per adult
Star items include the Kueh Pie Tee, there's a satisfying crunch with every bite! The unique Wrap had adequate amounts of meat, and the Kong Bak was melt-in-the-mouth shiokalicious!
I do wish there was more filling in the Chilli Crab Bao, and I couldn't taste any spiciness in the salmon for the Tart.
The Cranberry White Chocolate Puff wasn't available 😭 Scones, Fruit Cake and Stollen were great but unmemorable, while the Egg Nog Mousse was really tiramisu-like!
Staff were friendly, patient, and accommodating. Appreciated the random but wonderful wishes of "Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays" from the manager!
Felt like a 👑 while I was there!
This is a tea befitting royalty (wannabes) 😌
Double Durian Bomb $7.80
Durian Coffee Duo $9.80
Power Berries $6.80
All were borderline dilute. I pick the Bomb over Coffee Duo cos it's cheaper and more consistent in taste.
Durian Pizza $23.80
Golden Phoenix Fragrant Rice $6.80
Fish & Chips $14.80
Orh Luak $8.80
I was surprised to learn that Double Durian serves vegetarian food!
I was unimpressed by the Orh Luak, which substituted Orh with plain mushrooms. The Rice was fragrant AND unique, would have eaten more of it if I weren't dieting. The Fish can fool anyone while it's eaten hot, and the Satay had a satisfying crunch to them.
Spikey Musang King $11.80
Durian Crepe $7.20
Chocolate Crepe $6.50
Matcha Crepe $6.50
I preferred the Crepe version of the Durian, furthermore it's almost half price! Would have preferred the Crepes to be served less chilled though, makes the fact that I'm eating layers of cream less obvious 😂
Baked Yin Yang Musang King $18
Hot on the outside, cold on the inside, and that's about it. You're better off eating the regular fruit instead.
ICE CREAM 8/10
Salted Caramel $4
Double Durian $5
Not as good as The Daily Scoop's, but still quite solid.
Unlike many other restaurants, they do not have any serviettes beneath the cutlery, and I had to ask for them.
They also forgot my Baked Yin Yang Musang King order, and it finally came after 2 reminders, 20 min later.
A functional but not particularly memorable setting.
Durian desserts and pizza FTW!
THE COURTYARD CHOCOLATE BUFFET
$45++ per person
Fanciful descriptions don't necessarily make for gastronomical wonders.
Baked Ocean Trout with Ivory White Chocolate Quiche - couldn't taste the impact of the chocolate
Wagyu Beef and Peruvian Chocolate Poblano Chilli Empanadas - ang moh epok epoks with way too little fillings
Cocoa and Spice-rubbed Baby Pork Ribs - lukewarm and plain
Lime Risotto and Bittersweet Chocolate Arancini - fried balls of carbs with token chocolate droplets
Didn't get to experience the advertised Hot Chocolate Trolley, which was said to have six types of chocolate, cardamom, chilli, orange and anise. And I can't believe that the macaroon shells had this stale quality to them?! Nonetheless, what was available excited and pleased my makan senses.
The chef at the live station was absent most of the time, which I can understand given that there were only a handful of diners. What would have made for a more pleasant experience would be for existing staff to be more "auto" and get him over instead of the baffling inaction while I stood at the counter like a lost lamb.
I'd have given full marks if not for the snobbish Caucasian diners who very audibly mocked my pic and vid taking.
The key players of this buffet performed sufficiently well and deserve to be recognised despite their lack of support.
