I’m fairly certain all the whiskey ice luges I did this past weekend melted half my brain so I’m fresh outta witty captions, but here’s a little tiki action for ya 🔥🍹
• 2 oz dark rum (I used @rhumclement
• 1/2 oz Ancho Reyes Chile liqueur
• 1 oz lime juice
• 3/4 oz pineapple syrup
• 3 muddled strawberries
• 2 dashes of angostura bitters
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and muddle the strawberries. Shake with ice and double strain over crushed ice, and garnish with mint.

If you follow me, you probably know I've been struggling with some really bad shoulder pain for the last 8 months and as a result, I've been very frustrated and quite sad about how little I'm able to accomplish these days. But today, I woke up and decided to do something nice for myself. I wanted to challenge myself make something a little special and fancier than I normally eat for lunch. This dish is considerably more refined and elaborate than most things I make for myself on a daily basis. I've had this can of hearts of palm taunting and staring back at me in the pantry for months and today was the day I was going to tackle it! It may have taken me the entire length of Dirty Dancing and Little Shop of Horrors to make this; I may have had to take a lot of breaks to rest my arm and shoulder along the way; It may have been really difficult to lift my heavy camera to take a few pictures of it to share with you, but I did it! My shoulder is really sore now, but I feel a little more capable than I did yesterday. Self-care can take many forms, and today it was about challenging myself and doing something special for myself because I'm worth it, even when I'm feeling pitiful and useless with my shoulder the way it is. Judging by this pretty (and delicious!) dish, guess I'm not so useless after all!

tofu which is extra firm and great for recipes like these. It is then marinated in an orange, cajun spice and maple sauce before being grilled to sticky, crispy perfection. #tofurecipes

Lentil parmesan “meatballs” with tomato coconut sauce by 💚
1 shallot, minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups cooked green lentil
1 tbsp dried Italian seasonings
20g fresh parsley
2 tbsp tomato paste
6 tbsp vegan parmesan cheese*
2 tbsp bread crumbs
Salt and pepper to taste .
Vegan parmesan cheese
3/4 cup raw cashews
3 Tbsp nutritional yeast
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Add all ingredients to a food processor and mix/pulse until a fine meal is achieved. Store in the refrigerator to keep fresh up to 3 weeks.
1 can crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp vegan parmesan cheese
1 tsp dried Italian seasonings
Salt and pepper to taste .
Add 1 Tbsp olive oil, shallot and garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
To a food processor, add all ingredients pulse, mixing until combined, but not purèed, leaving a little texture. Roll mixture into balls. Brown meatballs in large skillet over medium heat. .
Make the sauce
Sauté mushrooms. Add crushed tomatoes in a medium saucepan and warm over low heat. Add the remaining spice mix, and sea salt. Stir in coconut milk, and let simmer until warm.
To serve, top rice with a few meatballs and pour over the tomato-coconut sauce. Sprinkle with fresh parsley. Enjoy. . 🌳 #VEGANESIMO
