Richard was shot in the chest by a Sniper in Iraq, and awarded the Purple Heart from his injuries. Richard continues to fight for our country, and is also trying to have a portion of the Feres Doctrine reversed, a 1950 U.S. Supreme Court decision that bars our service members and their families from being able to seek legal recourse when they are victims of medical malpractice and other torts. Approximately a year ago, a civilian doctor misdiagnosed his cancer for pneumonia. By the time doctors gave Stayskal the correct diagnosis, the cancer had metastasized all over his body leading to a terminal diagnosis. SFC Stayskal is married with two young daughters. Thousands of people are expected to march in Washington, DC on June 12th in support of amending the Feres Doctrine The march will begin at 10:30 a.m. on June 12th at Freedom Plaza on Pennsylvania Avenue between 13th and 14th Street, NW. The march will end with a rally on the National Mall with members of Congress, activists, celebrities, performing artists and you! Please help us at TidalFlow Coalition to spread his story and help Rich and his family gain additional support. Share and Repost!!! Saugers See in the Dark
Walleyes are known for their marble-like eyes, which let them see well in dim light. Their retina has a layer of reflective pigment, called the tapetum lucidum, that intensifies any light the eye receives. (It's the same membrane that causes a cat's eyes to glow yellow.) But the walleye's close relative, the sauger, has even better night vision because the tapetum covers a much larger portion of its retinas.
