I found something that I love (and hate at times) to do, Yoga. And I’ve made it a simple thing to do 10 squats after every time I use the restroom (and have slowly built on that over time). 2 weeks and 2 days postpartum 🙌💪. I cannot believe how fast my body is bouncing back especially with this being my 3rd baby 😍. I am soo excited that I finally found a program that works for my body. Honestly, I used to hate the way I looked in the mirror... like absolutely hate it. I hated the way I looked in clothing. I hated taking pictures with anyone but I knew I would regret not taking pictures with my kids. This isn’t me trying to sell ya anything. No pills. No programs. Just the process. This challenge was perfectly timed with our weekend away from home because the hotel workout area was freezing❄️, creepy👻, and cramped so I got it done in our room using our massive cooler as the chair. There ARE actual chairs 🛋️ in the room but they are basically sh*t holders and well, we gotta be able to open the cooler to get our beers 🍻 out, so that was all clear. . . Want to know how to get those healthy habits to stick? Change your identity. Sounds drastic doesn’t it?! But it works. When you identify as someone who is fit vs someone who is trying to get fit... you make choices like a fit person. (Like showing up consistently for workouts even when you don’t want to!) When you identify as someone who eats healthy vs someone who is trying to eat healthy...you make choices like a healthy person. (Maybe more veggies over processed chips). If changing how you identify feels like too big of a jump, start with asking questions about who you want to be... When deciding if you should workout or not: “what would someone who is fit do?” When you’re picking a meal: “what would a healthy person pick?” If we are growing our identity will change.

Today my team completed the last workout of our 6 week STEP program and the results and non-scale victories that they have been sharing throughout the past few days have me seriously blown away! These ladies have truly transformed from the inside out and I could not be more proud + emotional coach! 🎉👏🏻😭 They have not only lost inches and dropped pant sizes, but they have overcome obstacles, pushed past self limiting beliefs and have gained so much mental strength and determination from this program! . It has been hard for me to watch from the sidelines these past 6 weeks, but I promised them all when they started that I would be there in spirit, cheering them on and I would be their number one fan! 📣📣📣 . Saturdays & Sunday’s are my regular swimming days, I typically do just over an hour of laps. Today though, we had a family event on, which left me with not enough time to finish off my usual program, so I cut it short. After all, 45min of doing something is better than doing nothing at all. I used to be (early 20s) at lot more ridged with my thoughts around exercise. I used to tell myself “I have to do XYZ”, “I should be doing XYZ”. I was teaching 2-3hrs of aerobics everyday (sometimes more depending on the day). Then I would tack on my own workout 1hr+ of weights just for good measure. Yup that was bad. I used to feel like I got hit by a train 10x over by Wednesday & I used to measure how well my exercise progress was doing based on how battered my body felt. Yes, that’s not helpful thinking! When thoughts become ridged or inflexible that’s when you end up with mental health problems. With exercise it can be over exercising or chronic fatigue induced by too much exercise. With food it can result in an eating disorder or disordered eating patterns . It’s ok to say, I’m really sore today I don’t want to exercise or a really feel like chocolate & eat it now & again, that’s life the aim is not to be perfect, but consistent over time. So today I said to myself 45min is good, I enjoyed it & I can now go & enjoy my family time. Took the afternoon off to celebrate .. well... MYSELF! Ha. Kidding- sorta. Me AND My team/clients. For completing our 6 week program. U know what’s extra cool? So many women in the program said they had never stuck to anything before this program and the group support that came with it! That this was the first time committing to something and didn’t quit or skip! I dunno... to me- that’s music to my ears. I live knowing that the little community we created is really doing what is intended to... suport each other to make healthy habits for life!! Keeping promises to yourself feels so good. Best way to build confidence for sure! The next program I’m doing is just 30 minutes a day... what do u say... are you in?
14 days postpartum. I am warming up for my upcoming 3 months fitness and nutrition challenge. I’m back to almost zero baseline. It is going to be an intensive three months starting March. I have 6-7 kg to lose but that’s not my priority at this stage. I just want to rebuild my strength, tone, and feel at my best. Hi guys!! Our little bundle is 3 weeks old! Do not ask me how, other than birthing a baby, but I have lost every pound of the weight I gained while pregnant, around 35-40 pounds🤷🏻‍♀️😮I’m not complaining, but I have no clue how I did it other than having my baby & a few sleepless nights lol. Also, I am no longer breastfeeding, so starting this Monday I am going back to lowcarb and somehow starting right where I left off! I can’t wait to get my energy back and see some more progress being made! This week I finally accomplished something I’ve been working on... ...toe pushups! ✌🏼You guys, I worked out 5-6 days a week throughout my entire pregnancy and got right back into it 7 weeks after my csection (where my OB had to sew back together my lower abs). And then I finally hit my stride 3 months later where I had a freak accident and had to have ankle surgery after I severely tore a ligament and broke my leg. I was on crutches for 7 weeks before I could even put weight on it...pure torture. I sat on my tush for soooooo long, not even being able to hold and walk with my daughter. So these 8 barely moving pushups felt like climbing Everest to me. It was such an exhilarating moment to know that I feel like I’ve been through hell and back to get to this point. I will always fight for my strength, no doubt. As much as I hate taking steps backward, finally accomplishing a huge goal makes it all worth it. This journey of my life is a miracle and no matter what gets thrown in my way, no matter what lesson I need to learn or experience I need to go through, I will always get back up and try again. It's been a busy day today and honestly, I got my kiddos down early, but by time they went to bed it seemed like it was 11pm at 8! 🤦 But I did get my workout in early this morning for a free live workout event and my LAST day of my first round of the program I am currently following. It was so exciting to be able toget up, workout and share in this amazng journey I've experienced. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 42 days. I completed all 42 days of this program and have noticed so many changes, both physically, and mentally. To think I almost told myself I wasn't going to track my progress, my I changed my mind and did it anyway, coming out stronger each week. Watching the ending I may of even she'd a tear or two to think of how far I've come since day one. We kick off round 2 Monday! You ready?

One week postpartum - Can’t believe my little girl is already one week old! These first few weeks can be a bit hazy for new parents because there is a huge shift in life. At least I felt that way with my first. I remember at one point I was even feeling insecure about my postpartum body. Then I reminded myself that I carried a human for nine months and that is no easy task, especially in the weeks leading up to labour. So here I am today, I still look like I’m 20 weeks pregnant, my skin is loose and saggy, my feet are swollen, and I still have 15 pounds of pregnancy weight packed on me but truthfully, I’m so grateful that I was able to experience pregnancy twice. Adrian's boss gifted us an unexpected, last minute staycation. It's a nice gesture, but I'm missing my own bed, especially since it's like 25 minutes away. And also not packing for one night would've been cool, but kids need stuff sooo... 🤷‍♀️ Would the boys notice if Hollis and I went home to sleep? 😂 The restaurant we went to for dinner was waaaaay more hipster than I'm used to. There were at least two airstreams inside, and one of the bars offered tire swing seats. My beer didn't come in a lightbulb, but there were cocktails in plastic pouches. The food was good too - no complaints from me! CONQUER • • 6. Weeks. • 6 weeks ago I committed and started this new program. It was only 20 minutes which fit my crazy life perfectly. But it also involved this step. That’s it. Just the step. And that made me so nervous. • But I told myself I was going to do it. So I did. Every. Single. Day. For 6 weeks. And here I am. The feelings that were running through me as I finished the last workout were so insane. I cried. I was so proud. I was sad it was over. I was happy I did it. The old me would have given up so many times when it got hard... and believe me, it got hard a LOT. But I didn’t let myself give up. On the days I didn’t want to workout, I had my community and my team to build me up or even just hop on a call and be there for accountability or just do it with me. I was never alone. • This community and these programs changed my life when I started. The community and these programs have kept me going. But this program was the first to change my mindset while changing my body too. The "magic bullet" or "quick fix"❕ In today's world we are made to believe that we can have whatever we want and we can have it now! But as I hope you know that's not true! There is no quick fix or magic bullet to anything!😕 I am sorry to tell you this but everything takes work and time! Getting through school, losing weight, paying off debt, learning to love life! These are all things I work on and have had success to some degree, some I have had a lot of success.😊 I can tell you it was not a quick fix. It took work, consistency, and time. I have a major transformation in my mental state! I have literally gone from hating my life and wanting to die to looking forward to each day and what the future holds for me. I have also a a significant weight loss. I will graduate with my BSN in June. And I have paid off 1 school loan. All amazing accomplishments! 😁 None where quick fixes. 😔 With my mentality and my weight I have continued to succeed. I have kept the weight off for a year now and continue to love myself more and more.💕 What comes easy won't last, what lasts does not come easy. Stop looking for the quick fix. A little hard work WILL pay off over time. Be patient! We totally just stood in line in the cold to get our sweet tooth fix. Cookie Dough Blizzard all the way. Tomorrow I'll check in with my group to share my 6 week results and while ice cream may not fair too well on the scale...it's not the number I'm after. . I'm much more concerned with the number of ladies that will proudly share their results because they are truly PROUD of how far they've come. I'm also excited to look over my transformer numbers to really see that my endurance and strength has improved. And most importantly the NUMBER 42 is pretty significant --that's how many days we've all committed to doing this program TOGETHER. . I'm pretty sure that during my second pregnancy I was one of Dairy Queen's frequent flyers. I'd fly in there on a Friday night and usually fly back in the following weekend because the cravings were so high.🤦I blamed it on the pregnancy, but postpartum I still struggled with my nutrition big time. This lifestyle change hasn't been easy. Years of unhealthy eating habits doesn't change in an instant. CONSISTENCY, EFFORT and FOCUS over time creates healthy habits. And ladies, finding a happy balance in your life is the most freeing feeling. From one mama to another 🙏 know that you are not alone and you don't have to figure this out on your own. Committed, climbed, and conquered 💪🏼💚 . The last 6 weeks have been amazing!! I have never done and entire @shaunt workout before and let me tell you it was no joke!! I have not only seen results physically but I also was able to conquer my mind to transform my life during this process!! . While it is such an accomplishment to finish a program, it doesn’t end there...you need to keep going! Now you have proved to yourself that you can do it, you need to keep going and keep pushing yourself!! You can do anything you set your mind to!! . About 5 years ago I attempted p90x and I did not finish the program. I told myself it was too hard and I couldn’t do it. Now 1 little boy later I have finished 2 workout programs start to finish in the last 14 weeks! It is because I still told myself I not only could do it but I will do it for myself and for that little boy I am lucky enough to call my son!! . I want to live a healthy and happy life for not only myself but my family! That’s why I dedicate time for my fitness and wellness every day, even if it’s only 20 minutes!! I want to be a strong momma!! . And you can do this too!! But you have to be the one to decide to make the change, the change will only happen if you commit to yourself!! Stop with the I can’ts!! First photo, yay! Last week was the start of my fitness journey postpartum. After my daughter was born I anxiously awaited 6 weeks to jump back into the swing of things. I was always somewhat "fit" before, so it really hit me hard realizing that I couldn't do many of things I was used to doing.
