So true!!! Positivity is not a way to pretend there’s no darkness, it’s what you can find when you’ve fought your way OUT of the dark. One thing I really want to talk about is comparison/competition between girls.💁🏻
With the rise of social media it has become even easier for girls to compare themselves and bash their tiny flaws.
I am also victim to this mentality of " oh she's only been lifting for two months and she's hotter/stronger/fitter" blaming my body type and telling myself I am not good enough.
This is why I wanna bring awareness to this and help you change your mentality.
First of all ask yourself :
What does comparing myself to others actually achieve ? Is it going to make me feel better ? 🤔
Realise that comparing yourself won't bring you anywhere. Everybody is different, reacts to nutrition, exercise differently, has different genetics. Therefore the only person you can compare yourself to is yourself.😊 Instead of comparing yourself, look at yourself and see what you can do. And remember change takes time !! It starts with baby steps. Next time you're at the gym smile to that girl working out next to you instead of thinking " oh she's better than me "
Don't try to compete with others by being the strongest, hottest, etc. Support and push each other and you might even make friends out of it.💕✨

Mindfulness meditation has become increasingly popular in recent years. With this practice, you learn to focus on your breathing and train your mind to stay in the present moment. In the beginning, it is completely normal for your mind to wander. Over time though, you get used to sitting and being still. Studies show that mindfulness practice appears to have a wide variety of neurological benefits, such as changes in grey matter volume and reduced activity in the “me” areas of the brain. The Harvard Health Publication suggests that mindfulness meditation may ease anxiety and mental stress. I always remind my patients to meditate - we all have busy lives, but our minds will thank us if we take a few minutes to clear, sort, or pause our thoughts to reduce concerns, poor sleep, and irritability.
