Doesn’t get much more beautiful than this place 😍 the calm before the storm! Making the most of the bit of time I have left before all my plans kick into action 👌
Got the kids ready and packed to be at the babysitters all day and out the door by 11am, then traveled 45mins to work and worked until 5:30/6pm. Drove 45mins to pick upnthe kids and got home 8/8:30pm. Still needed to eat dinner and get the kids to bed. It was 10:30pm before I pressed play on my workout, but I made a commitment to myself a couple of years ago that I would take care of myself and I would do what I could to battle my depression and anxiety. So could I cancel on myself because I was exhausted and it was a long day? ABSOLUTELY! But I remembered WHY I started caring about my health ans my body and how I treated it.
1. To fight depression and anxiety without medicine (because none worked for me )
2. My kids deserved to have a mom that was active and happy!
3. I wanted my confidence back and to feel good again in my skin
4. Because I wanted to prove to myself that I could stick to it and get to my goal weight!
5. I wanted to set the best example I could for my kids.
6. Im not a quitter, even though I quit so many times before! I wanted to change that for good!
So I focused on these things and I simply pressed play.
That is really it. Nothing magical, nothing complicated, nothing extreme. Just pressed the play button and did it.
I am looking for 10 people to mentor , cheer, and guide and support through their personal fitness journey. Those who struggle with similar thoughts and distractions. Those who want to take care of themselves but find it hard to make the time or to get going. Those who are fighting depression and or anxiety and need a positive outlet and support system. Those who put everyone first but know they can't pour from an empty cup. Those who are ready to stop Cancelling on themselves!! Are one of these you? Everything starts in our mind. First, ask God to help you to be self-awareness of all the lies and negativity in your mind. Make a purpose to replace those thoughts with true a & positive thoughts. It takes time but, you will see how your life starts to change. I'm practicing that right now. -----------------
