Growing up when people call you "weird" or "strange" or "different" it's often used to offend or to hurt. They were terms that Daniel and I got used to hearing as we were growing up. And listen... it's not THAT weird to wear vampire teeth to teach Kindergartners Spanish, is it?!
But as we've gotten older, as we've found someone we can fully be ourselves with being weird, different and strange is now a badge of honor. Yes, we do weird awkward things some times. Yes, I can never get the punchlines right on my jokes. Yes, Daniel has been the king of grandpa jokes since he was 10... but you know what, that's who we are and we love it. .
