Myth Series #12 ☄ • Is doing 'more' in the gym better for Strength & Muscle Gains? 📊 • This could be more sets in sessions or sessions across the week. It's not as black and white as; 'is 3 days vs. 5 days better', and here's why. • Let's say you've been resistance training over 6 Months consistently, you've progressed almost consistently with a few weeks off thrown in here and there due to life in general. • So by now, you're a lot stronger than you were at the start. You can't just expect to continually progress every week (either more weight on the bar or just doing more sets/sessions) without hitting a wall. • If you've already swiped, you'll see progress starts to go down with more volume over time. As Fatgiue also Rises with Fitness.📉 • If your progress kept consistently going up, every one would be jacked and strong but it ain't as easy as that I'm afraid. • It's about doing enough for you to progress while factoring in planned back-off weeks (deloads) to give your body time to recover before the next round of training. • And this is where fatigue then drops and your overall performance increases 💪 • Plus, I haven't even talked about life's stresses too - anything really stressful going on outside the gym. It'll all impact your ability to recover weekly. • So while someone who could be very similar to you (height/weight/age), progresses a bit faster handling more training volume, it could be down to the fact they've better sleep, less stress & a higher quality Nutrient dense diet. • Anyhow I better stop typing here before this turns into an article, any questions pop them below. • P.S: Credit to @helms3dmj & the 3DMJ team with their Muscle & Strength Pyramid Books for help in creating these graphs.📈

Mobility Routine, all of it! The second part of the routine as well this time. Here’s a Routine to get your body back on track. It loosens up a lot of tightness that most people experience, especially in the hips/lower back. It’s also a good way to activate the core. It might look different depending on the level of mobility you have today, either this will be really easy or close to impossible. Do it regardless and you’ll feel improvement the very first round. Try 3-4 full rounds of this 2 times a week and reap the rewards. A body with good mobility is less injury prone, will be stronger in the long run and will also contribute to an overall feeling of well being. Vanilla and raspberry crepes. I am back on track today after being away for 4 days. Although it was nice I was actually missing my salads by the last day. I have salad every day usually twice a day so to go so long without one was hard. Where I was staying there where limited numbers of places to eat so it was hard finding healthy choices sometimes. If you travel a lot it can be hard sticking to a nutrition plan, I know I struggle but I usually find myself doing more walking so it equals out the extra calories. For you seasoned travellers out there who are away with work a lot how do you manage to stay on track? #nutrition

But listen, you didn’t get to this point because you were being ‘balanced’ – you were doing everything but balance; and you’re not breaking years of bad habits by just employing ‘a bit of balance’. Anybody tells you different. F*ck them. They aren’t helping you by feeding you a fantasy. • Show me someone who’s lost a lot of weight, changed their body, health, and mindset for the better and I’ll show you a highly imbalanced, slightly obsessed person. Because losing fat is not an act of balance; it’s the complete opposite of balance: you’re fighting against the body’s proclivity to stay as it is. And you’re not winning that war with ‘balance’. • Nobody has gained weight or started to have health concerns because they were being balanced. • You do have to become slightly obsessed and imbalanced if changing your body and health is a big goal.
