JID Catch Me If You Can tour Concert Review
I’m very sorry for my lack of posts lately, this week has been hectic as i graduate this weekend and I have had work and graduation related stuff to do.
So here’s a post of the memories from what was one of the best nights of my life. Something I’ve been looking forward too since the moment I got into JID. I wanna say thank you to @jidsv
for putting together the most insane show I’ve been a part of in my life.
It started with meeting him, he’s so laid back and funny that the 1 minute I got with him was worth all the money I spent on the tickets, deadass waited in line for almost an hour and witnessed some downtown crackheads while waiting which in a way made the experience even better😂
The 3.5 hour concert lived up to every expectation I had for my first real concert of my life. The opener Menace was quite unknown but put on a show. Mereba, an R&B artist who’s had multiple songs with JID who I am now in love with.
SABA came out banging, I got to see him doing sound checks before the concert and then perform some of my favourite songs by him (LIFE, Photosynthesis, Heaven All Around Me and a few others) his charisma was off the charts and he got the crowd going really hard.
By the time JID came out, we almost got into a few fights already and I was already sweating like crazy and it was so insane. He started off hard as fuck with LAUDER, transitioned Scenario by ATCQ into EdEddnEddy. This man then performed Hereditary and caused, for what he said was the first time he’d seen in for HEREDITARY a moshpit😂
His tribute to Mac Miller (last slide) gave me hella chills, it really showed his emotional side.
Skrawberries, Workin Out, Off Da Zoinkys, Just Da Other Day, Westbrook All Bad and Sandstorm with Mereba, all of his bangers leading up to Off Deez, NEVER and 151 Rum which was by far the climax of the concert.
The pure energy in that venue from the moment the concert started to when JID left the stage was something I will never forget. @jidsv
you out did yourself, thank you for coming to my city and giving me lasting memories and I know you loved YYC so I hope you come back on your next tour. ❤️ you @jidsv
