How the eco-friendly trend is affecting brand strategies 🌻
There’s been a lot in the media recently about eco-friendly sustainability. Demonstrating ethical and environmental awareness has shifted from cloying, to credible, to critical. Consumers are now not only expecting brands to manifest ethics within their business, but are also taking it upon themselves to take an active part in the conversation, and strengthen the movement to reflect their interests and concerns.
Ethical stances seem to be shifting from awareness to activism, particularly amongst younger consumers increasingly taking responsibility for protecting and sustaining the world. Brands, both established players and new entrants, are now developing products and propositions that do more than simply nod to a CSR policy. They seem genuinely geared to helping this audience meet those responsibilities in return for the hard earned cash they were going to spend anyway. An astute, welcome and commendable move.
Have you seen these changes? Are you buying differently?
Yesterday my wonderful baby cat of almost 8 years old, Hermès died 15 000km away from me.
There was nothing to do but pray and remind him.
I did this drawing (3) in his memory as he will always be in my heart as my one and unique forever friend, supporter and compagnon.
I think I should have done more. So I will try to do more with every human being and creature I'll cross and love. Do more, every day.
After finishing that drawing I saw this wall (1) and realize the French flag was missing. I draw it (2). Because feeling so much pain make me realize that we spend too much time thinking about our selfs and ego, our money and little problems. I realize that I left a country who, such as many others is in crisis regarding obscurantism, un knowledge, false informations, individualism and lack of love and respect. I remembered that my flag was three colors. Blue White and Red. But when we won the world football cup exactly 10 years ago we called it Black White and Arabic. This is France. This world. Yellow, red, brown, white, black. We share it and we use it for a very short time. My cat use to love everybody unconditionally. Everybody. Every stranger. I now remember my self saying rubbish about those people from this country or this other religion. But we are all human beings. We are all creatures of god. Please work hard on making that time on earth happy and peaceful for all human beings and creatures of god as yourself and not profitable and selfish.
In living memory of Hermès the most nice, loving and beautiful cat ever.
I will love you forever. Mommy
