“I had wanted to see and shoot the Northern Lights for about 10 years and I was lucky enough to be in Iceland during a geomagnetic storm, meaning that conditions were optimal for aurora viewing.
This was incredibly challenging to shoot because of how dark the scene was, the constant change in vibrancy of the aurora & the spray from the waterfall. The power of the Nikon Z 7 really came into play here with excellent low light performance delivering exceptional image quality. This is a blend of two exposures: a four minute exposure for the foreground at ISO 640 and a 4 second exposure for the sky, when the aurora was particularly vibrant.” @nikkibings
