“Oh, I’m not a runner. Not yet.” ...I hear #newrunners
say this a lot and remember feeling that way when I started, (I thought I ran too slow to be a runner, I was just “jogging” which I think is actually the term you apply to someone who is half walking half running through the crosswalk when they shouldn’t have started crossing to begin with). #Itotallygetit
But now I wonder, sort of jokingly, did there used to be a test to get this #badgeofhonor
? Like, you had to go to a certified facility and take an exam about running terms and training plans and then run a certain distance without stopping, averaging a certain time/mile?
, talks about it in their lastest issue and having just made a comment to this #toughasnails #newbie
(I think?!) that I follow I thought it pertinent to post something.
The peeps at RW ought to know when you get to call yourself a runner and guess what?! #Ifyourun
. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is either not themselves a runner OR one of those snobby, super fast, ain’t got time for no one but me kind of runners. You don’t have to #gofast
, do #longdistances #looklikeone
(who gets to say what that is, btw?) or #doiteveryday
or have the same kind of body as the next guy or gal to be a runner. All you have to do is #laceup
and hit the pavement, track or treadmill!!!! #whyrunningrocks
! It’s #so
simple!!! #runningismyfavorite #notallthedays
