Can we all agree to put EMOTIONAL HEALTH on a pedestal?👏
Over the past 8 years of using dōTERRA oils it is that our emotional health connects so many in our lives.
I’m not saying you need to be blissful every single day....but awareness of your emotions will start to make small shifts that will actually lead to BIG changes in your life. So what do you do if you are feeling “off”....one option is turn to your oils.👏
Did you know that oils can be an incredible tool support your emotions?
Why? How? Behind our nose, we all have an Olfactory system...this system has tiny receptor sites that are triggered by any aroma in the air.
When these receptors are activated they send an electrical signal to the Olfactory Bulb which fire to the brain. Specifically the limbic system of the brain.
The limbic system is responsible for emotion, behavior, motivation, memory and learning.☺️
Therefore, when you inhale tiny molecules of essential oils you are communicating directly with your “feeling area” of the brain.
So when you smell essential oils, your body can respond by releasing endorphins, serotonin or noradrenaline which all help the body to relax, feel calm or stimulate the body....🥰 all just from inhaling.
These six Emotional Aromatherapy oils have been a game changer for so many of us in dōTERRA! It’s funny how I find myself gravitating towards different ones daily. 👉 currently my fave is Forgive and Passion.
What is your go to emotional aromatherapy oil you use and why?
Day ✌🏼 and I maxed out at a whopping 7 minutes 😅☠️ But the whole time between gasping for air and dying I thought...
“Suck it up and do this Dannah, for real. You said you wanted a challenge and wanted change, so just embrace this and go. NOW.” I give myself ALOT of pep talks like this in the morning.
Without challenge, there is ZERO change.
We often opt for “what’s easiest” because well, it appears to be easy. We avoid feeling uncomfortable or trying to navigate uncharted waters. Take it from someone who used to play it safe in all areas, nothing good will ever come from it and you’ll often be left with time passing and one day you’re like, “what the heck happened?” Or nothing off your bucket list has been checked off. Or you’re in the same exact place, still miserable. .
Choose the hard.
Do the hard.
And the hard will change you, for the better.
Happy Monday friends✌🏼
The girls had their first dance recital this weekend and between this and 4K graduation, my heart could barely hold it together! More pictures in stories of our fun week last week ❤️ Now on to our first official day of summer!!! #bringiton #summer2019
When you get woken up at 2am by a scared kiddo and your body thinks it’s morning... you need coffee & Jesus (and a clipper to nip the string on the sleeve my jammies). 😉
Happy Monday!! 👋🏼 Let’s not forget, that progress can happen many ways. Some of my favorite stories are centered around better sleep, more confidence, happier relationships.....you can make a step towards progress, not perfection, each and every day. I’m rooting for you 😘
May your coffee be stronger than your toddler today 👊🏻☕️ Super human strength for someone who only lives off of shredded cheese and like two other foods. Also, hilarious that I am smiling perfectly in almost all these pictures. Swipe through to see Oliver plotting his escape from our photoshoot because we all need a laugh this Monday. 🤣 📷 @janetdphotography

There is something about this sweet little face she is making that makes me melt into a puddle! Probably also bc I can still see her terrible dance moves [obv from her Daddy] made just seconds before snapping this pic. I don’t ever want to forget these moments! •
How do you bottle all of this goodness? Do you journal or jot fun moments in the notes of your phone? Spill the goods!?
The message may be the same, but how it is delivered determines how it is received.
Once you decide on what type of workout works best for you, you need to decide on a trainer. They may all be “super”, but in order for you to get the most out of your time and energy they need to motivate you in a way that resonates with you.👩 The most obvious difference is male or female. I actually prefer a masculine energy, but you may prefer a female trainer.👦 Next, how do they encourage you? At times I need someone who is motivational and helps me push harder. Other times I want someone who makes me laugh.😅 You may also want to know they’re workout style. I prefer to keep my accessories to a minimum. I have limited space to store all the extras. Although, I will find room for more dumbbells.😄 Who is your ideal trainer? Comment below or send me a DM
Let's start Monday off cute. Here's to hoping your day doesn't act like a Monday.
Happy Monday, people - hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! Our baby boy got his first two teeth this past Saturday! They literally grew overnight - no wonder he was cranky and I could not get him to sleep 🤪 but Aiden took it like a champ overall, and he is now sporting two tiny bottom front teeth - like “it doesn’t get any cuter than this but haven’t managed to snap a pic yet” kinda thing 🥰. When did your littles get their first tooth? Ariel did at about 12 months, Liv at 6/7 I think! - -

We had a fantastic day yesterday, we had great weather, the boys got along (mostly 😉)
It was a great day to remember to be grateful for our many blessings in life
The boys got the opportunity to see and feed some amazing animals, they were in awe and all smiles!!
I so grateful we were able to take this short trip as a family!!
Happy Monday friends!

Bed-sharing...and no, not sharing with the parents 🙅🏻♀️ my bed is off limits 😂 do your kids sleep together? Lately these two have been sneaking off into each other’s bed’s and I’ll find them snuggled together in the morning. So last night we skipped the midnight switch and just sent them to bed together right from the start. I love watching them look out for each other and seeing their bond grow stronger ♥️
I can’t believe I’ll be saying goodbye to this bump in two short weeks. I love being pregnant but this time around gave me a run for my money, so ready to meet you baby girl #klospartyof5 #38weekspregnant

, Babywise Edition💙
Our first mistake: Trying to force our babies to fit into the perfect cookie-cutter plans that many sleep books suggest. Babywise was the first sleep book we both read after the boys were born. We loved it! It seemed so simple and informed readers that if you follow the Babywise Philosophy. It really is a great book and if you decide to read it, we HOPE it works better for you than it did for us to help your baby sleep through the night on their own .
A cliff-notes summary of the book is this: if you follow a eat-play-sleep routine with your baby, your baby will go from eating twice in the night the first 3 weeks, to eating only once between 3-6 weeks. During the day, you try to follow a 2.5-3 hour cycle of eat-play-sleep with naps being 1.5-2 hours. Most Babywise babies begin to sleep at least 8 hours straight between 7-10 weeks. Sound’s ideal, right? .
Both of our boys merged down to 2 feedings most nights but did not begin to sleep 8 hours straight by 7-10 weeks. .
Here’s our thoughts:
Although we loved the “eat-play-sleep” idea and tried to follow it as much as possible, we stressed ourselves out wayyyy too much about feeding our boys right before they took a nap. When nursing on demand, we couldn’t force our boys to eat for a certain amount of time like the book suggested. Also, the 1.5-2 hour naps seemed completely unrealistic at that point. Cristiano has always taken good naps overall, but not our little buddy, Gavin
In our experience, it’s more beneficial to focusing on your baby’s sleepy cues and a sleep schedule rather than a sleep AND feeding schedule. It is good to practice a similar routine everyday with your baby and worry about a sleep schedule around 4-5 months.

It’s Kennedy’s BIRTHDAY week! She’ll be FIVE in 5 days! We can’t wait to celebrate at the beach over Memorial Day Weekend! 🎉🎂🎈
