The body is the means for you to be able to undertake the tapasya, the self purification, which is required for making you such that you have the compassion and the power to alleviate the pain in the world. But if you keep on dwelling on your suffering then you are not in a position to reduce the suffering of others. Your own suffering, your own suffering; what is it? Paying off your past karma so you may be free of it, and being free you may then dedicate yourself to elevating yourself spiritually and serving others. Mindfulness is a practice of awareness. It is the experience of strengthening your ability to know when you are present, know when you are thinking about what’s to come or what has already passed. It is the deep connection to experience what it is like to make a home for your awareness, attention and heart in the present moment and being aware when you’re not centered in this home. _ The more you build this home and become familiar with it, the more centered in your practice you will feel. The more you will know what it means to have a center in this ‘home within’. Which also means you will come to realize what it’s like to be out of your center, off kilter or not feeling fully in balance. _ This is one of the most beautiful gifts of practice✨- to more deeply know your center so you can re-find it over and over again whenever you need to. _ Keep practicing today. On New Healing Habits - • • 51 days ago I started a yoga and meditation challenge with a fellow IG spoonie. • We were messaging about how we can heal, what we can do, where we can reclaim our power, how do we take charge of our healing. • • Yoga and Meditation came up and we said - “alright everyday - we start tomorrow”. • • It wasn’t a competition, it was a support system. And no matter how sick I was, knowing she was hitting the mat despite how she felt, made me hit the mat. • • And even if I could make it to the mat, but couldn’t get off - if I didn’t have the strength or balance to do standing postures. I was okay with that, and did light floor yoga. • • My perfectionist belief yelled at me so hard to work harder, be better, this is not enough. • • But my body wouldn’t allow it, and I told my mind to STFU. I felt the resistance of this action swell inside me, and I tried my best to look upon it with compassion and allo it to exist, without my reaction. • • Not easy! • • I have had tremendous benefit from my new daily habits - to post about another time. For now, I’m just going to be proud of myself and acknowledge my efforts. • • And if I can’t get to the mat today or tomorrow, I will learn to be okay with that as well. But, wow - Did I really do this?! Me? It’s hard to believe, and hard to be proud, but learning to be - that’s part of the healing too, isn’t it? • • BTW : if I can do it, anyone can. Truth. Will you challenge with me?! • ☀️ PS - Special thanks to my fellow misfiring buddy - you have helped me more than you know...but I tell you all the time so maybe you do. 😂. It’s been interesting to watch my mind this pregnancy. With Eloise, I had so much space...ample breathing room. I felt so grounded, so strong, so empowered. This time around, with a two year old to toddle with, I feel less grounded, less patient, more reactive, and like -overall - my mindfulness practice has gone to shit. Couple that with the fact that I wasn’t as physically strong heading into this pregnancy...and I’m left feeling like this sort of flailing, distracted, easily bothered, weak version of myself. It’s easy to feel like, “I don’t have time to practice” but I know that’s not true. Each breath carries an opportunity to be mindful, or to not. I’m attempting to give myself some grace through this season. Mindfulness doesn’t always feel peaceful, patient and kind. I’m definitely in one of the sticky parts of practice where it doesn’t feel good, or comfortable or validating. I notice what’s true for me right now, and wish parts of it were different. But in the next breath, I can choose to embrace. It’s the difference between a push and a hug. “It is difficult to take in the details of a landscape all at once. Our eyes can only focus on one point at a time. We look near, then we look far. We look left, then we look right. Our view of any one subject, if it is large, is never whole but is a composite image in our minds. The same is true in regard to our approach to Tao. Tao is continuous, flowing, and changing, but there is no knowing it in a single view. We rely on composite images that we form in ourselves. For a beginner, glimpses of Tao will be random and fleeting. You will stumble on it from time to time, or you will see it in the brief spaces between events. For the mature practitioner, your composite view comes from training, technique, research, and the experience of self-cultivation. But even after years, it is impossible to take in the totality. There is a way to know Tao directly and completely. It requires the awakening of one’s spiritual force. When this happens, spirituality manifests as a brilliant light. Your mind expands into a glowing presence. Like a lighthouse, this beacon of energy becomes illumination and eye at the same time. Significantly, however, what it shows, it also knows directly. pear: the fruit of immortality ˣ ᴬᵞᵁᴿᵛᴱᴰᴵᶜ ᵀᴵᴾ Known in Sanskrit as amrita phalam, fruit of immortality or nectar fruit, pears were revered in ancient India and China as a symbol of immortality. In Roman mythology they were sacred to Juno, the mother, Venus, goddess of love and Pomona, goddess of fruitful abundance and orchards. Sweet and light, pears are calming to all three doshas. They are described with the Sanskrit adjective susvada, meaning 'extremely delicious' but also having meanings of prosperity and welfare. ˣ stewed pear- good for morning brekky. Good for your digestion. ˣ 1. Start boiling the water and cloves in a small saucepan. In the meantime, peel, core, and chop the pear into bite-size pieces. If you don’t have time to peel it, at least cut the pear into 4 pieces and remove the core. 2. Add the pear pieces to the hot water, bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the pear is soft and translucent but not mushy. 3. On Results of Neurofeedback - • I had my first brain map done in December, and started my 20 sessions shortly after. • They found areas with decreased activity, and aimed to raise it. • They did 3 maps total, one prior to TX, one halfway through, and one 4 weeks after my last session. • Today I had the review of my last map. And here’s the difference! Do you see it? • Annnnnd - How do I feel? I am less dissociated, and have more management over symptoms when I have misfiring. My memory, problem solving, sequencing, overall brain executive function has significantly improved. (Interestingly enough that’s the area of the brain that showed most improvement on the maps) • I also recently started a yoga and meditation regimen. And I do believe all 3 has gotten me the improvements I am experiencing - Mr. NFB agrees. • Funny enough - right after my meeting with NFB dude today, I started feeling worse than I have in weeks 😒 I even told him I was afraid to speak to soon, and of course as soon as I say how much improvement I’ve had - I start to feel as though I’m headed back into a misfiring episode that my meds arent helping (I even took more than usual too!) • It’s the worst thinking it’s due to progressing brain damage because of my sfn, and or because of treatments not working/will not work. • So guess what? I won’t! Miss worse case scenario is trying to change shit up. • I have no doubt that NFB works. In fact it did some of just what he promised me, he said he believed it could help manage my symptoms, and it did. We did decide to do 10 more sessions over the next 5 to 6 months, as I have a progressive condition, and my neurologist wanted me too! • Anyone experiencing depression, anxiety, ptsd, add/adhd, sleep disorders, concussion/head trauma, neurological disorders - please check this out. Even my neurologist is all about it bout it!!! ☀️ ❤️

☀️ Jordy Thinks - Petit bilan bien-être ~ 🇫🇷 Comme vous le savez si vous avez vu mes derniers posts je suis actuellement en train de tester plusieurs petites recettes pour cultiver mon bien-être et me sentir mieux dans mes pompes. ~ 🧘‍♂️ Je vous ai déjà parlé de la méditation vous savez maintenant que je suis entièrement convaincu de ses bienfaits et que c'est une pratique qui fait entièrement partie de mon quotidien. ~ ☀️ Dans une même mesure j'ai essayé de mesurer l'impact de la pensée positive sur mon quotidien et je dois dire que je suis assez bluffé par le résultat. Faire en sorte de neutraliser mes pensées négatives et me concentrer sur les choses qui m'apportent du bonheur et de la tranquillité change complètement mon quotidien. ~ ♥️ Je suis aussi beaucoup plus à l'écoute de mon corps et j'apprends à tirer de moins en moins sur la corde et à mieux contrôler mon énergie ce qui n'est pas une chose très facile pour moi à la base. Je fais également en sorte de m'entourer de personnes qui partagent mon état d'esprit et qui n'ont pas tendance à se miner le moral pour rien. Es-tu assez à l'écoute de ton corps et des messages qu'il souhaite te faire passer ? ~ 🇬🇧 As you might have noticed if you've seen my last posts I've been trying to create some positive habits in my daily life in order to improve my health and my well-being. ~ 🧘‍♂️ Meditating has been of great help and I'm pretty sure that they will be using it for the rest of my life now that I know how good it is for me and for my inner life. ~ ☀️ I've also tried to think in a more positive way brushing away the negative thoughts that have been eating me alive because of anxiety and stress. Long story short it's been a game changer. ~ ♥️ I have also started to pay more attention to what my boy is trying to tell me. I tend to focus on my energy and rest when I need it. I've also been seeing my positive friends. ~ DAILY QUESTION: What about you? Where you're at?
We all carry a sense of heaviness with us each day. Maybe for you it's physical - stiffness, tension or tightness in your body. Maybe it's emotional - a heavy heart, a sense of overwhelm or worry Maybe it's in your head - thoughts of not being enough, thoughts of regret or just the constant planning Whatever is weighing you down, can you let it go? Even if just for a moment. 3 tips for letting go At any time you can pause and take 2 deep breaths really making your exhale long and smooth (count in for 3 and out for 6 if you like numbers) See if you can encourage a sense of physical letting go, across your shoulders, your jaw, your eyes or your tummy Be interested in how letting go feels in your body 📷 @carolinanusadua
