TO ALL THE TRUE PERSONAL TRAINERS ---------------------Trainers (male) often have a bad reputation. That is probably because anybody can call themselves "(personal) trainer" and anybody can be hired as such, even if there's no educational background.
Also, most institutions that "certify" trainers are 1) not testing the applicants very thoroughly and 2) just want to sell their courses, which is why they are neither grading the applicants, nor letting anybody fail.
In addition, gyms don't select their trainers by their knowledge, attitude or social skills. They "cast" them by their looks and because they work out regularly (sometimes not even that). No wonder why every other bro, pretty boy, meat head or social media king is also a "trainer", all of a sudden.
At least that's the case in Germany. Most trainers in the gym are more often talking to and "helping" pretty girls than supporting those in need of help and support.
A TRULY PROFESSIONAL PERSONAL TRAINER has the right attitude towards his job. If someone seeks your help, it's about THEM and not about you! This is one of the biggest things a lot of trainers don't get. A true professional will at some point have his own business. He has skin in the game and is AUTHENTIC. That's why he will never mess around. Many people think a personal trainer has an easy job, chases girls, looks at and grabs asses all the time. If you're a professional, you TAKE YOUR JOB SERIOUSLY and you HELP and support everyone as best as you can, NO MATTER WHO it is. It's not about your ego.
The job is diverse, it includes a lot of RESPONSIBILITY, you can make a big difference in other people's lives and there's nothing macho about it. If you are true to the profession, it fulfills you, you put your HEART AND SOUL into it and you are truly COMMITTED to your clients. It's not just a job, it's a calling.
