Last October, my sister was visiting from Oklahoma and she wanted to go on a whale watch. We weren't sure if there would be much to see. It turned out to be a great tour! We saw a variety of different behaviors and over 20 different whales. I missed a whale breaching fairly close to the boat, but did get a few nice whale tail shots.
Don't ever underestimate the power of love ♡

Many of us have heard of the new Silver Line Gateway bus route serving Chelsea and the Seaport, but did you know this exciting new transportation project includes a brand new mixed-use path known as the Chelsea Greenway? Although relatively short in length (0.75 miles), the path provides a much-needed connection through the city and opportunity for recreation. I picked it up at Eastern Ave, just after the Chelsea Street bridge, and ended just before its terminus at Broadway. The path was quiet and beautiful (so many gardens alongside!) and I highly recommend taking the time to stop if you find yourself nearby.
Sorry for the cell pic, but I came home to this (with a wonderful handwritten note on the back) and it made my heart happy 🤗

Seeing as it’s Thursday, here’s a little throwback shot from the #BestBuddiesChallenge
2018. This incredible meal, definitely one of the highlights, was a reward prepared for us after we crossed the finish line! 🍻🍴 #lobsterdinner
Thanks to MTeamer Chiu Man for sharing this memory with us!

This fawn playing peekaboo in the weeds was just too cute. I was driving down a road on the edge of town and saw a mom and her two fawns in an open area. They let me get surprisingly close before they got tired of the paparazzi and hurried off to a more peaceful place to eat.
I believe in the ocean curing all bad moods. I believe in the waves wiping away worries. I believe in seashells bringing good luck. I believe in toes in the sand, grounding my soul. #luckytolivehere #summervibes
Throwback Thursday: “Waves of change”
The Hyannis Rear Range Light, also known as the Hyannis Harbor Light, was a lighthouse and, for part of its life, one of a pair of range lights adjacent to Hyannis Harbor. The Range Rear tower was built in 1849 and equipped with a 5th order Fresnel lens in 1856. In 1863 the original birdcage lantern was replaced with a new cast iron one. In 1885, a front range light was added on the Old Colony Railroad Wharf, and the two lights together served to leading vessels to the wharf. The 20 foot Range Rear tower is shorter than most lighthouses, as its purpose was just to guide ships to the wharf.
The first keeper, Daniel Snow Hallett was employed at a salary of fifteen dollars per month, and lived in a house of his own in the neighborhood as no living quarters were provided. Over the years, it has been bought and sold numerous times. Currently, it is privately owned, well maintained in a picture perfect setting...
