When I cook at home I could make everything gluten free & dairy free but I choose to still cook normally for the fam so everyone can enjoy what they love. I would never force my dietary restrictions on anyone! Tonight was a classic Shepard’s pie with beef and dairy, then I made mine with turkey and of course dairy free, both were gluten free. I didn’t get an after picture because we all dug in but I can tell you it was amazing!! 🤤🤤

Maple brown sugar roasted delicata squash! 😍😍😍I know everyone has their own way of preparing delicata & I thought I would share my absolute favorite way of preparing it for 0sp with you! ••• 1 delicata squash, seeds removed & slices into strips(the skin is edible so no need to peel) 2 tbsp @swervesweetie brown sugar 1/4C. @waldenfarmsusa pancake syrup 1 tsp cinnamon 1-2 tbsp water if needed to thin out sauce Salt • • Preheat oven to 425. Line a baking sheet with foil & spray with cooking spray. Mix Swerve brown sugar, syrup, cinnamon, & water if needed together in a bowl. Add in you delicata squash and toss to coat. Dump bowl out onto a baking sheet(there will be extra liquid on the baking sheet and that is ok. It will bake down into a sweet glaze on the squash). Sprinkle with salt & place into oven. 💪🏻 Lifting: In the beginning of when I first started working out I always dreaded doing upper body workouts. Some times I would skip them and do extra cardio instead. But I knew I wanted to build muscle. So 2 days a week I set out to work on arm, shoulders, backs, and biceps. In the beginning 3 sets of 10 w/ 5 pound dumbells were so hard for me to do and I would be so sore the next day. But throughout the weeks and months, I started to notice how much stronger I was getting, lifting cases of water that would leave me out of breath before felt like nothing. That’s when I started to fall in love with upper body workouts almost as much as a leg/booty day. When you see and feel changes, it keeps you going. Happy Tuesday people! 🤗 Time to feel the burn! I start each leg workout with squats because they require big muscles and tire easily. I don’t think I’d have the energy to do squats at the end of a workout. 🏋️‍♀️ Resistance bands are another way to get a GREAT workout in if you don’t have a lot of space or the ability to have a lot of equipment. They really do give you a great burn. 💦 This is a typical leg workout with basic equipment (minus the squat rack 😜). I do each exercise three to four times. Aaannd I always have to throw an ab exercise in at the end of each workout! Gotta burn that core! When @s_longstreet comes over and acts as your personal Jonathan, giving you that fresh blow out and making sure you follow post-surgical shoulder precautions. 💁🏼‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Post-op day 4 and feeling pretty sore from where my surgeon had to scrape/cauterize the capsules but otherwise doing well. So far things that have improved: energy/brain fog, gingivitis (so wild- but it makes sense since it’s inflammation leaving the body), tension in my muscles, and I haven’t had a migraine since surgery. 🤞 It seems my gut is going to be more stubborn as I had a pelvic/urinary flare-up yesterday, but I’m tying to trust the process and be patient with my body. Hopefully I will get these stupid drains out tomorrow so then I can at least do a little walking! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Other feats: MINDSET SHIFTS. I was terrified to see my post-surgical boobs because they can be pretty deformed at first. After getting my implants I broke down and remember thinking, “did I make a mistake? Do they look okay? Should I have gone bigger?” This time I just tore off the band-aid (literally and figuratively) and thought, “hey- not bad!!” 😂 They’re certainly not perfect and they’ll take some time to fill in but they’re natural and they’re MINE. I’m sure the emotions will come, but as of now, I’m just thankful about the prospect of getting my health and range of motion back and being able to return to all my former hobbies without restrictions. 🧘🏻‍♀️🙌🏻

Endless possibilities...Whose with me? 🙋🏽‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Patty Deets👇🏼 ▫️1 medium Sweet Potato ▫️1/2 cup Tricolor Quinoa ▫️1/4 cup Green Lentils ▫️1/2 Jalapeño, finely chopped ▫️1 tbsp Whole Wheat Flour (@bobsredmill ) ▫️1 tbsp Olive Oil ▫️2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper ▫️1 tsp Chili Powder ▫️1/2 tsp Garlic Powder ▫️1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika ▫️Salt & Pepper ▫️1/2 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ First, preheat the oven to 425°. Then, wash the sweet potato & poke with a knife. Line a baking sheet with foil & roast in the oven for roughly 45 mins. Meanwhile, cook the quinoa & lentils in 1 1/2 cups of water. Once those two things are cooked, in a bowl, mash together the potato & quinoa. Add in the following ingredients- jalapeños, flour, olive oil, & seasonings. At the end, mix in the breadcrumbs. Using a 1/2 measuring cup, scoop out the mixture & place on a baking dish with a slightly greased parchment paper. Shape into 5 patties. Bake at 350° for roughly 40 mins, flipping halfway. Store them in the fridge or freezer & heat up in a pan right before eating! 😊 {Recipe video tutorial in story highlights} ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For my burgers, I used 100% Whole Wheat Burger Buns. Then I added mashed avocados, pepper jack cheese, lettuce-red cabbage-spinach blend, onions, & ketchup! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just realized my burger looks just like the emoji...🍔🤔
