for these HUGE salads! My salad on the left had a base of spinach and all the veggies + sun dried tomato dressing and falafel bites. Mom's hilarious salad on the right had alllll the extras and allllll the toppings.
I’m not sure if I should call this a frittata or a pancake or a tart or.... 😀 Last night I watched a video from @nytfood
putting together an almond lemon pan tart and I knew I had to try it in the morning. I didn’t follow the measurements, but the idea was to mix eggs with ground almonds and cook them in a pan. So for this one I used 3 pasture raised eggs, 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp ground almonds (you can use flour but I just ground some blanched almonds a little less finer than what you would get with almond flour). I used zest of one lemon, 4 tbsps of coconut cream (full fat), 1/4 tsp almond extract, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp monkfruit sweetener (feel free to use more if you want but you can also add some sweetener on top, something like Yacon syrup) and a handful of fresh blueberries. Heated a seasoned cast iron pan on medium heat, added 2 tbsp of French, unsalted butter, and poured the batter (all the above ingredients mixed well) into the pan. Let it sizzle a little bit on the stove (about 1 minute), added the blueberries in top, some more ground almonds, and put the pan in the oven, preheated to 400F. It cooked in about 12 minutes. 😋 Just a different way of making breakfast, if you’ve had enough of simple eggs or normal pancakes 😀. This could be an easy to make breakfast / brunch or even dinner for kids. ☀️ What do you think? Would you try it?

I ❤️ a good Sunday brunch! Do you prefer sweet or savoury breakfast? I usually lean towards sweet🥞🍓 These chocolate protein pancakes are a healthier alternative to traditional pancakes.
-3/4 cup rolled oats
-1/2 unsweetened Almond milk
-1 scoop chocolate protein powder
-2 tsp cocoa powder
-1 tsp baking powder
Mix all the ingredients in a blender until smooth. Heat a pan at medium and cook for about 5 minutes per side. I put a bit of coconut oil in the pan to prevent them from sticking. I top mine with fresh fruit instead of using syrup

What is your favorite strength exercise? Squats are one exercise I include every week in a workout routine. Squats engage multiple muscle groups so they’re metabolically challenging and effective for fat loss and building lean toned muscle. I LOVE the feeling of a heavy set of squats and how powerful my legs feel and that heart-pounding effect
1️⃣Create a ledge for the bar by pulling the shoulder blades back and down together. Rest the bar on your upper back, there shouldn’t be any tension on your neck.
2️⃣Set the feet just outside shoulder width, and feet straight or slightly turned out. This exact setup will vary depending on the structure and flexibility of your hips and what’s comfortable for you.
3️⃣With a tight core, push your butt back, leading with your hips to load the glutes 🍑 and then bend your knees. Keep the chest up and back flat. There should never be knee or back discomfort or pain when squatting, if there is then something may need to be modified, stretched, realigned, etc.
4️⃣Keep the knees out so they’re in line with the feet but not beyond the toes. Squat down until the hips are below your knees.
5️⃣Push through the heels to come to the top where you squeeze your butt and lock out the knees to reset before the next rep.

Everything about this brunch was on point. Lately I’ve been obsessed with massaging my kale. Not only does it aid in digestion but it tastes so much better. The 🥑🍳 was perfection. So many people are afraid to consume healthy fats but in order to lose fat you must incorporate healthy fats into your diet (in moderation of course). Another favorite of mine are radishes. While I love the spicy taste radishes have so many health benefits are associated with radishes such as filled with folate, fiber, riboflavin and potassium. They can also can help regulate blood pressure, have antibacterial and detoxifying properties. Radishes are a natural diuretic and relieve inflammation. Happy MDW 2018. Whenever I know I’m going to be in a scenario where I’m not likely to reach for a salad (yesterday at @champsdiner
helloooo devoured all kinds of yummies, or BBQs this weekend), I make sure to stock up on all the healthy goodness!
This allows me to not feel guilty when I eat oodles of french fries or donuts or whateva and it ALSO helps me with my mindset surrounding food. Often times we have a scarcity mindset. If we go on a diet we think- “I’ll NEVER be able to eat that again I need to eat this ENTIRE plate full of donuts” (even if it makes you feel sick)!
If you’re enjoying yummy foods 365 then we can eat one slice of pizza instead of 5 because we know that pizza will always be there whenever we want it (if you’re on any sort of diet that eliminates pizza get off of it immediately and don’t trust them)!
Unfortunately diet culture has really skewed this mindset for a lot of people. Let’s move awayyyy from that. Yes, food is fuel, food is energy, but it is also a social event and meant to be enjoyed together with loved ones.
This stuff takes time my loves. Finding balance is not going to happen overnight. Be kind to yourself. Happy Sunday. ✨

Definitely my go to meal when I’m sick 👌🏼 Plus... the best part... TOPPINGS!! What kind of ingredients/toppings do you guys like to put in your smoothie bowls?
SUPER GREEN SMOOTHIE BOWL
💚Frozen Pineapple chunks 💚1/4 tsp Tumeric
💚1/3 tsp of cinnamon
💚1/2 Tbs chia seeds
💚1/2 tbs of flax seeds
💚1-1/2 cups of Almond Milk
💚Toppings: granola (mention), chopped walnuts, strawberries, coconut flakes

batter: - think about adding a little protein powder to your batter. —
- use almond milk instead of dairy. —
-choose a healthier oil instead of butter, or use ghee.
Toppings: -instead of using syrup use fresh fruit. Today I simmered fresh peaches with 2 tbsp brown sugar and about 1/3c water until the peaches were soft. —
-instead of whipped cream (which most restaurants would use with pancakes that would come with fruit) use a low sugar vanilla Greek yogurt. —
- EXTRAS: today I used basil which is good for the respiratory system, is a great antioxidant, and fights stress. You can also add things such as sliced almonds, nuts, and seeds.
When you’ve waited to be reunited with your favorite banana pancake for over a year (I’m not even kidding, I booked my hostel right next to it for a reason) - and you get to combine that with one of your favorite travel friends @flexwithlex_

1 pound baby Dutch yellow potatoes
3 ears corn, each cut crosswise into 6 pieces
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning
1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 (12.8-ounce) package smoked andouille sausage, thinly sliced
1 lemon, cut into wedges
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly oil a baking sheet or coat with nonstick spray.
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook potatoes until just tender and parboiled, about 10-13 minutes. Stir in corn during the last 5 minutes of cooking time; drain well.
In a small bowl, combine butter, garlic and Old Bay Seasoning.
Place potatoes, corn, shrimp and sausage in a single layer onto the prepared baking sheet. Stir in butter mixture and gently toss to combine.
Place into oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp are opaque and corn is tender.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges, garnished with parsley, if desired.
