First of all, bread is bae. Don’t argue with me. 🍞❤️ Second of all, do people still think that way? I think that people drive from different amounts of carbohydrates but to think that eating carbs will immeaditely make you fat or that there’s a time in day that you can’t eat carbs, is ridicilous. And yes, there was a time in my life that I thought that bread is evil and I avoided it. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ Since I eat a plant based diet, I eat a lot of carbs. Majority of my daily intake is carbs, like whole grains, vegetables, fruit, beans... And honestly, that’s been working for me so well! I feel like I have so much more energy and I actually feel leaner than before. We use carbs as our main source of energy for our nervous system and for working muscles. They are also very important for our brain function.

Carbs won’t make you fat. There isn’t a time in the day that carbs are suddenly bad. Eating low-carb won’t necessarily make you lose weight (caloric deficit will). Eat bread and pasta if you want to. Don’t cut out carbs because somebody on the Internet says that carbs are bad for you or that low-carb is the only way to go. Everybody’s different and you just need to find what works for you and what’s maintainable for you!

Chicken is one of the hardest foods to buy in my opinion. It's extremely hard to find fresh chicken that has been raised in an environment where there are no growth hormones or antibiotics used. The thought of feeding my kids food that is suppose to provide lots of nutrition but has been altered from it's natural state, that freaks me out.
Swipe left to see what I discovered at our local Coles supermarket today. It's so great to see more organic/natural options in the mix. And you really can taste the difference, this cooked to be so succulent and tender.
For a quick meal simply cook some angel hair spaghetti, pan fry in season veggies in olive oil, garlic and lemon juice. Add spaghetti, toss well, top with cooked chicken and parmesan cheese.

I was experimenting this evening on how to load up a Sweet Potato without it being unhealthy 😋 behold my Sweet potato loaded with smokey tahini chickpeas and wild rocket 💁🏼♀️ topped with Coriander, Pumpkin and Sesame seeds 🤯
Instead of using the usual baked beans and cheese, it’s always good to find creative ways to add protein and fiber into the diet 😋 Yes I eat the potato skin too ☝🏼(make sure you scrub your spuds first though 😅) This dish may look large but it’s not...it’s the size of my teeny hands 😂 Always portion control especially if you want to be in a caloric deficit 📉
