So I was probably at my skinniest in this photo. Went through some personal sh*t a few months ago and basically lost my appetite
But I'm back to eating normal (and healthy again). And as much as I would love to shrink a size or two, I prefer being strong over skinny. My weight goes up and down all the time, but I think I'm in a place where the change in my weight gently ebbs and flows versus drastically fluctuating up and down. Note that five additional pounds on a petite frame like mine is quite noticeable😑
P.S. Have I told you how much I love animal print? I actually consider them neutrals. Next to florals, animal prints are my go-to patterns

Another weekend is approaching and we may look back over the week and wonder, when did I take time for myself, my partner, my family? When was I truly disconnected from my job?
For many of us in this day and age with technology as it is the line between work and home life is blurred.
We NEED to change this. We NEED to find BALANCE.
Here are 4 simple tips:
1. Define your hours with your colleagues and customers. Let them know when you respond to email. Let them know your office hours. Create clarity in the relationship and they will know when they should expect to hear from you (and when they shouldn't).
2. Plan family time in your schedule. You plan the rest of your diary out so make sure you put in their dedicated time with your family and loved ones, or just time for yourself. A great exercise to do is to do this then review the past week, did you find balance in this?
3. Turn off the notifications. When at home put your phone on silent and turn off all notifications. Many phones have a do not disturb phone, use this. Consciously try to put the phone to one side and leave it alone. You don't need it. Be present.
4. Take time off. This one is so simple but many of us don't do this UNTIL we burn out. Don't fall victim to this. Understand that taking time away from work will help you recharge and improve your productivity long term. It is NOT heroic to not use your annual leave up.
We hear frequently how people can't implement these habits due to expectations placed upon them but that doesn't change the fact that you need balance.
You need to find it for yourself and your loved ones. Don't let work consume you. -

Happy Hump Day! Do you sit at a desk all day? It might be time to ask HR for an upgrade. Standing for an afternoon instead of sitting can burn around 1000 extra calories a week. Not only do we love a little extra calorie burn, but being sedentary for an excessive amount of time is linked to greater risk of Type 2 Diabetes, more back pain, and a worse overall mood. This means that people may actually be MORE productive when they have the option to stand while they work! -
If a standing desk isn’t available to you, try to take a 5-10 minute walk for every hour you spend sitting. This will give your eyes a rest from staring at your computer and your body a break from sitting in your cubicle. You could also come sweat it out with us at one of our afternoon classes!
