Chapter 7: Celebrating Change
It wasn’t a whole year later until the Gray Line #thebucketlife
trip was set back in motion. I’m really grateful that @grayline_sightseeing
was kind enough to work with our vacation days and time constraints. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for my sister and I to travel like this together.
This trip couldn’t have come at a better time. @Fivestars
, my work, was launching the P0 of a brand new spank’n product. We were able to cram a crazy amount of work into 6 months time and a vacation window was finally opening up. My sister and her new husband finally had earned enough vacation days to getaway.
A friend once told me to celebrate change, the good and bad, and I was finally ready to celebrate all the new changes. Susan, my sister, and her husband were planning their trip to Iceland around the same time I had already planned a trip to Europe with my friends. Since stars were aligning in terms of timing, my 2 week trip turned into 1 month, just like that.
To be continued…👩🏻💻
Excursion: Blue Lagoon
This was not a Gray Line tour. Please see my other posts with Gray Line tour excursions. We actually booked this trip through Blue Lagoon directly. It was a great, relaxing spa day after a long day trip. I would recommend going and getting the Comfort Day pass. Random Tip: Don’t get the smoothie, use your free drink on something else. I noticed not a lot of people were enjoying the smoothies. Most of the locals don’t go to Blue Lagoon. It’s more a tourist attraction. Best in the morning and at night. If you are looking for a local Icelandic swimming pool, they are everywhere and much cheaper. That is also a highly recommended experience.
