These baby cows are essential! . . Calves which are the visible and non-visible muscles that are attached from our toes to the back of our knees are vital for movement of our bodies. They play a role in the obvious such as running, jumping, squatting, walking and the not so obvious like returning the blood back to our heart! . . Their complex anotomical structure allows the ability of extreme movement of explosiveness and fluidity of every step. Working these muscles out is quite essential as it provides the overall body stability, balance and strength. As the posture of our body begins from our feet the importance of them is quite clear. . . Training then indirectly is the best way to get the most out of them by sprinting, running, jumping, practicing yoga and also weight lifting. When you do a calve press you are only engaging the visible muscles so you are not getting the full benefits of their functionality. . . As for training them hard it is equally as important to actively stretch them through yoga or mobility exercises daily! . . As I learn more about #intuitive eating, I want to share my knowledge with you. One of the principles that stuck with me was “Respect your body” . Accept your genetic blueprint. Just as a person with a shoe size of eight would not expect realistically to squeeze into a size six, the same goes for your body . Respect it so you can feel better about who you are. It’s hard to reject the diet mentality if you are unrealistic and overly critical of your body and shape - Intuitive Eating . . . 🇪🇸A medida que aprendo más sobre la alimentación intuitiva, quiero compartir mi conocimiento con ustedes. Respétalo para que puedas sentirte mejor acerca de quién eres. Es difícil rechazar la mentalidad de la dieta si no eres realista y dejas de ser excesivamente crítica con tu cuerpo y tu figura. Poco a poco tu cuerpo te va a llevar a tu peso ideal si aprendes a comer de forma intuitiva

I have always struggled with my weight. Especially since Middle School and then in College, I definitely gained more than the freshman 15....😣 This past year was a journey...and like most journey's, it wasnt easy nor perfect. However, with hard work, dediciation, and the desire to be the 'me' I saw in my head, I was able to lose almost 100lbs. I went from a size 22/24 to a 12/14....I went from being almost 300lbs to 189lbs. (This is the before and after of that journey) Unfortunately, recently I was placed on really high doses of steroids and that combined with falling back into bad habits, I gained 30lbs back. So in many ways I feel like I am starting all over in this journey. Instead of being frustrated, sad and depressed about it...why not just do something. So I am.
