Feliz noche!!! ♥️

🎉THREE MONTHS🎉 of nomadic life under our belts! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some days it feels like way more than that, like we've always lived this way because this lifestyle is such a perfect fit for us. And some days it seems like just yesterday we packed everything up and took off! 🗺️ Either way, we're so grateful that we had the opportunity to make our dream a reality. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I (Katelyn) am blown away by the responses, messages and kind words I have gotten from my post from last night. Thank you all! 💕 One month after making that life-changing decision, we moved into the RV!🚙 And here were are, now three months later! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I think one of the biggest takeaways for us is how much closer we are... of course living in a 200 sq. foot box forces you to be closer physically, but the past year hasn't been a walk in the park. Nomadic/RV Life forces you to communicate, work as a team and get through the tough stuff TOGETHER. 👫
Lastly.... we FINALLY published our website! 💻🖱️It's been a labor of love, and is definitely a work in progress. Our goal is to share our experiences (good & bad), travel tips, stories from the road and everything in between. If you want to take a look, the link is in our bio. 😉Thanks for following along on our journey! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Have you ever looked up at the sky and wondered where everyone was going?
A quick favour!
Ok friends! I am so excited to share a whole week of education and value with you guys! doTERRA just announced a BOGO week for Canada, USA, Australia & New Zeeland. Though we rock a whole week of giveaways over on Facebook I wanted to make sure I had everything ready.
So this is where I need your help!
Would you copy this link and answer this honestly 2 questions survey! This helps me serve our community in the best way I know how! I just want to love on and support everyone in his or her health journey.
So let's open the conversation! Will you help me?
How did we miss #nationalhikingday
😱 We may be a day late but we wanted to throw it back to one of our favorites. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This hike was on the last day of our adventure in the Grand Tetons. We wanted to catch the sunset at the end of the hike, so time was a factor. After parking at what we thought was the lot, we started hiking for about 20 minutes until we arrived at what was the actual parking🤦♀️🤦♂️ When we finally reached the top, just as the sun was setting, we were greeted with one of the most spectacular views of the mountains we’d ever seen (hence the name of the hike🙃). Due to the parking snafu we didn’t have a ton of time to enjoy the view, but at least we didn’t miss it all together!
Once the sun set, we had to traverse the planned 3 miles down in complete darkness (using our phones for lights 😖), followed by the extra mile from the parking lot to “our” parking lot.
Worth it 😅
Do you guys have a favorite hike? We love to add more to our list!
The purge is beginning. Who thought we’d ever choose to downsize from a Class A to a Jeep.
Wanna know something insane? The RV we have our eye on has an almost identical carrying capacity to our Jeep. 😳 Makes you wonder how many people are driving RVs way over capacity.
Anyway, we’re slowly starting to make those same piles we did in our Austin apartment, pre-RV: toss, donate, sell, store.
So grateful to my parents for holding onto a few containers of memorabilia for the past 5 years. We’re still not sure whether we’ll need to get a temporary storage unit while we’re between RVs, or whether we can convince my parents to take some extra stuff. 🙃 But again, the Jeep carrying capacity is the same as the next RV! So I don’t think a “temporary” storage unit is really an option. We need a permanent solution, which is to unload more possessions from our lives.
I’m genetically a minimalist. I agree with the philosophical arguments, but I imagined tiny living from a young age. Something about having everything I care about within arm’s reach has always been comforting to me. (Or maybe just an expression of control issues. 🤷🏻♀️)
What have you learned about what you need? This lifestyle has given me so much perspective—and overlanding in the Jeep is going to take it to a new level.
Please ask questions—we’re happy to answer. And would love to hear your own experience of downsizing, evaluating needs, et cetera.

How do you prefer to travel? @dotzsoh
has transported us to a coastal journey through Sri Lanka by train. #fulltimetravel
1. Escape hatch window came unglued. Since it is adhered from the outside, we almost lost it to the ocean as we were taking waves into the starboard bedroom. We hove to and spent ~1.5 days adhering it, waiting for epoxy to cure, & repeating with a second fillet adhesive. In the process, we threw away 4x other types of glue that had already hardened new in their packages. #seasucker
suction cups to the rescue! Our seal never leaked, but the old frame gasket now leaks.
2. Water maker high pressure line severed at the swage fitting. We managed to combine some spare new and used parts together to fix it.
3. Starboard lifeline snapped.
4. Watt & Sea connector melted (luckily no fire)
Several minor things broke, as expected, but we will throw those in the category of normal wear and tear. We feel like we did a good job with inspections, repairs and upgrades before leaving the dock to prevent issues we could predict. .
Maybe it’s my engineering experience over the years at my job, but none of the mechanical problems stressed me out. Each issue was just a problem to solve, with what we had onboard, and as fast as possible. Therefore, we have agreed as a family that we did indeed make the right decision for us to own a boat and travel on it together. .

It's hard to understand exactly how big those waves are, but you can spot tiny humans on the left. Massive, powerful and breathtaking as always around Sagres.
Before we went on our big journey we’ve heard about everything it brings you a lot. But to actually experience it now is something different!
Meeting new people, learning about new countries, learning about new cultures, and so on. It’s amazing and so special, I am feeling happy and grateful for quite a while now♥︎
Our happy faces when we get to snorkel and island hop 😃 taking excursions is a great way to break up the daily grind.
What makes you happiest and most relaxed when you are working all day?
I saw someone recently post (wish I remembered who 😬) that it's hard to tell who changes more, the views outside an RV's windows or the people inside. I just love this so much!! I didn't realize how much growing I had to do as a person until I traveled in this little Airstream for (almost) a year. What's so cool is that everyone I've run into that's doing "the same thing" isn't doing it the same at all. This lifestyle forces you to focus on what your unique life looks like - what are you packing along with you? What size rig is right for you? Do you have a car or ATV or dirt bike? Do you always boondock, are you full hook-ups people, or a mixture? I love hearing everyone's take on things and learning the creative ways they've made their rig, route, and contents of their rig match their goals.

Warm days and cool desert nights... I’m a PNW girl. My heart is where the ocean meets the forests. But...this snowbird life, it’s not hard to get used to... Warm, sunshine-filled days with plenty of hiking trails to explore and chilly, dry nights...yeah, I think I’ll do okay this winter! 🌵 ☀️ #snowbird #desertrat #nightsky #bringonthelotion
Feels good to be back at the beach 🏝I hope you’ve all had the best weekend! What has been your highlight? ✨
The home of the blues & the birthplace of rock n roll. A city filled with music, history, street art, great food & breweries. We knew we’d like Memphis, but we didn’t know how much we’d love it. 💙🎶
Goodbye, beautiful Ecuador! I will miss you, but I can’t wait to hug my babies and take the inspiration you’ve given me back to share!
Some fun facts for you:
This was the 5th young living farm I have visited in 5 years.
I hiked over 20 miles in 3 days while there.
We stayed in 3 hostels and 3 hotels (the mountain village hostels were by far our favorites).
The farm has over 1000 acres!
The tree in this photo is called a Cebu (sp?) tree and it’s a protected species in Ecuador. They are all over the farm and I loved all of them!
Important words I learned in Spanish on this trip:
Cafe con leche
Who is going to one of the farms next year??? #younglivingfarm #ecuador

We decided to drive 20+ hours back to Arkansas for Thanksgiving. It’s been almost 6 months since we’ve been “home”. The kids miss their cousins and can’t wait to see/play with them again.
💥 Do you know why you are here, on this planète? What’s your purpose? - - - - - - -
A lots of people thinks they are on the earth to change everything, to become the best, to accomplish an enormous amount of work or to become massively successful. ❗️
- - - - - - - -
🍾 Pop ! I genuinely think we are here, first of all, to be happy. And to do so, we need to learn and stay always in the gratitude of living and seeing miracles in every corners.
Then why are we here again? To help others to be grateful, people who don’t understand yet the importance of it. 🌱
What’s next ? Evolve and learn all along the way. And ? Help others to do so
Here is pour mission. After it’s all about the FORM of it ! Some people will become fireman, teachers, nurses, some others will become actors or artistes to inspire. Some others become vet, surgeon, doctors. What do you want to become ? 💫🌟

Ask yourself this question: if you were a billionaire, what will you continue to do even if you don’t need money from it ? There is your purpose 💥

Moved to a new beach in Goa! Our new pad has a swimming pool and I only managed to convince Alison to get off the lilo with the promise of beers and sunset at the beach!

Only took five months... but we’re back NT! #cuinthent
We are LOVING our first experience of the Grand Ole Opry. Dream come true!!! Wish we had this back home in Hawai’i! Thank you for a wonderful show @opry
Yesterday I woke up in pain. Physically, emotionally, spiritually..everything hurt. Dusty asked if I wanted time by myself. I didn’t feel ready, but my heart said yes ❥❥ So I went for a walk, opened my phone, noticed the date and the tears started to flow...It’s like my heart + my body knew? How could I forget? It was the anniversary of when the sweetest little one was placed in my care. A five year old who FOREVER changed my life. And I remember that day like it was yesterday. I got the call from the social worker. I didn’t feel ready, but my heart said yes ❥❥ I rushed home from Target, looked in the mirror, wiped away my tears and to acted like I was fine. But what I didn’t tell the social worker was I was going through a traumatic + horrifically painful (twin) miscarriage. I kept my pain to myself. And when she walked through my front door, it’s like all my pain went away. Instantly, we were connected. Instantly, we were family. People said she was the lucky one. But the truth is, I needed her much more than she needed me ❥ I loved this angel in my home for only about 6 weeks. The time was short but the love lasts a lifetime. When she left, my heart was shattered. The pain I felt was more intense than a million miscarriages. And I remember missing a call from our adoption worker the night she left...I knew she wanted to check in on me but I wasn’t in the mood to talk. She called me again the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day..Finally I answered. Yes. She wanted to check in on me, she knew how much I was deeply hurting. But she also wanted to ask me if I was ready..That she knew it was too soon but she felt compelled to ask. That there was this adorable red head boy named Alex. He needed a forever home; she thought we were a perfect match ❥ I didn’t feel ready, but my heart said YES ❥❥
Perfect day out to see the Atomium, and riding rental bikes around the city #Brussels
Livin it up in Brussels. 🇧🇪🙌🍻
Santorini is what remains of an enormous volcanic eruption - one of the largest in recorded history. It really is a giant volcano caldera. If you look at it on a map, the island is the shape of a crescent - similar to a crescent moon. All of the cities here exist on the crescent - and most of them near the cliffs. The cliffs along the inside of the crescent reach 980 feet high (300m).
