Easter morning. The first one in our RV home! 🚙 ✝
A day of such celebration. ✝
Celebration of life, newness, love, hope, and joy. ✝
We had the kids watch some videos about the true celebration of Easter, and of Jesus' resurrection. We also Easter stories, and did some crafts today (look in our stories to see what we read and made!) ✝
What made it really special for us this year, is Easter-eve into Easter morning, we stayed at City of Rocks State Park, which is basically camping in between huge boulders and rocks, and our specific spot had rocks all around us. Our picnic table and grill were between the rocks, and we had a lot of area to run, play, and climb the rocks.
It was special because seeing the rocks reminded us so much of the rock tomb Jesus' body was placed in, only to be found empty. 🐰
It gave us a visual of what the actual resurrection day may have looked like, and was very reminiscent of Easter for us. 🐣
The kids woke me up to joyous squeals proclaiming what the Easter Bunny must have brought for them! They were so excited. This is why I love celebrating holidays, to see joy on their faces in all of the ways we celebrate them. 🐰
It was pretty eggs-citing for the kids to have an Easter egg hunt this morning, all on, underneath, and around the huge rocks we were camping by. 🐣
This is our first Easter away from our stick-and-brick house, and it was lots of fun! 🐰
Happy Easter to all of those out there who celebrate it! We hope you all have had a great one. ❤ 🐣
Also wanted to say that our hearts are with all of those in and around Sri Lanka! Such sad and devastating news. 🙏❤
Day 40-47 | On The Run | North America 2019 Tour
Long story short. Stayed in Flagstaff for a week due to snow. Got Dita a decal and designed / built a succulent wall for @lejoyride
while we were there as well. Went back to the Grand Canyon to conquer the Bright Angel Trail, it was 12 miles, took us 9 hours to get to Plateau Point, an insane view looking directly down to the Colorado River and then back to the top of the South Rim, so exhausting but totally worth it. Today we left Arizona (place we called home for nearly a month) and just got to Utah. We’re parked in between a canyon next to a stream, it’s so beautiful. Just had dinner, about to watch a movie. * not sure why the last picture isn’t showing up but it’s a picture of the Welcome To Utah sign 🤗
Can’t escape tea in Turkey ☕️🤷🏽♀️
South Turkey was a random choice with the aim to escape winter in Europe and take a break from Schengen Zone 🙄
I didn’t expect much from my visit, but ended up returning after Christmas. Despite many downsides, I came to realize how amazing Turkish people are! I crossed paths with so many wonderful souls who had significant impact on my life in a positive way - both directly and indirectly - and even bonded with some of them for life (they know who they are).
Very emotional and fulfilling short chapter of my life that I will gladly remember ☺️
Thank you 🇹🇷 and see you again for sure! ❤️
We are officially in double digits!!! 96 days until I marry my best friend 💞✨
If we look at nature she doesn’t grow her trees in straight lines.
They bend, curve, wrap around one another...
Trees are an interconnected species.
Similar to humans.
Most of these incredible beings take at least a decade to reach adulthood.
A lesson from nature for you today:
Slow down. Trees do not rush to grow.
See ya later Phillipines and G’day South Korea
We are both happy and sad to be leaving the Phillipines. We had so many first here, we found a love for scuba diving and swam with whale sharks. We met family for the first time and caught up with family we haven’t seen in years. We loved the beaches here but we can’t do the food here anymore 🤮🤮🤮 we have eaten more maccas, Jollibee and Wendy’s than I have ever wanted to.
We are crazy excited to spend the next week in South Korea where we get to see one of our besties and spend the week with a true local 🤣. We are REALLY REALLY looking forward to some amazing food. Honestly food is such an important part of our journey 😋😋😋. We also need to have a massive shout out to our little man it’s his 15 birthday today and the poor thing is spending it sitting in the Chinese embassy and then a 4 hour flight 😜😜😜 the joys of traveling full time my boy 😘😘😘 #country8 #travel #fun #family #fulltimetravel #travelwithkids #travelwithautism #opietribetrekkers #noregrets #wegotthis @kimchiwife
I rode the rollercoaster 🎢 of weight loss for... 12 years!!! Low carb, no carb, no sugar, counted points, avoided this, avoided that... now I know I’ll get some 🗣🗣 for this... but... those don’t work!! You can’t change something so drastic ( and most times not good for your body long term anyway... 🤨)... lose the weight and go back to what you used to do... and I can say that... cuz I know first hand! 🎢
It takes a WHOLE LIFESTYLE change! Not just the food you eat 🍉🥬🥭🥑!! It starts here 💕💕... and when you decide in your heart that you are ready for the change... it clicks and your whole self is in! Get your head and heart in the game and your body WILL follow, I guarantee it! Invest a little 🕰 and💰 in you today and the compound effect 🦄 🦋 will AMAZE you! Trust me... I live it ! #gratefulaf
It started with losing the weight but the effect on the inside #selfconfidenceissexy
has created a person I never knew existed!
Riding the rollercoaster 🎢 of life now #buildingafreelife #changinglives

Soaking up every last bit of this beautiful place before we head on to our next destination! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✈︎We are on our 10th month of travel...20 countries🗺, 36 flights✈️, and 87 different 🛌 beds. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✈︎The biggest thing we’ve learned on our travels? That we don’t want to stop traveling!
Seventeen sea lions sleep in the sun ☀️ Try saying that 5x fast.
Learning on the road has presented challenges to us. Right now we are trying to teach Maia how to read. I believe it’s been our biggest challenge in homeschooling to date.
Two weeks on the road full time can be tough. Add in living in a van for those two weeks. Then add in rain and extreme winds and close to freezing temperatures every single day. Then add in a brand new country which means new traffic laws. And lastly, add in a friend you met and spent a week and a half with two years ago that lives on a different continent than you. With anyone else, it would have been a nightmare.
But somehow I got lucky with @melanie__blu.
I’ll always believe you never truly know a person until you travel with them. Even more so living in a van with them. But there is no one I would have rather spent these last two weeks with than Melanie. We met in Morocco when this whole journey started for me, and took on Iceland together this time around.
So here’s to the long drives filled with laughs and good music, to becoming closer as friends, and to still liking each other even when you made me work out three days in a row after hiking all of Iceland 😉
What a gorgeous place with the green terraced rice fields. It definitely seemed unreal. It was unlike anything I’ve seen. I’ll definitely be back!!
Our happy place: behind a camera
We both get inspired and feel the most creative behind the lens. This was our last sunset in the Grand Canyon. We stayed in and around Northern Arizona for nearly a month. We spent a lot of that time being enchanted by Sedona’s red rock and all its new age hippie-ness, played in the snow and explored through Flagstaff’s historic downtown, vintage shops, and met the most awesome people and small business owners, (two of them which contributed to Dita’s exterior), slept in the middle of Kaibab National Forest, got to know the entire south rim, biked the south rim and hiked down it on the bright angel trail to plateau point, by far the hardest hike either of us have ever done. Currently in Page for a couple of nights before we head out of Arizona. Utah here we come, can’t wait to photograph you!
Btw we just uploaded photos on our photography portfolio. We’ll be constantly updating as we go along our travels. You can check it out by clicking on the link in bio!
Last year my friends through me a huge party with all of my closest and best friends. I was dolled up from head to toe, had lots of shots of tequila, and danced the night away waving rose gold 3-0 balloons. This year I traded my high heels for hiking boots and fuzzy socks, tequila for bottled water, and balloons for a road map. I love both birthdays equally because they are the perfect combination of who I am, but this year I knew I was needed outdoors. I’m the party girl that loves to dance the night away with her friends, and the nature girl who loves to exist outdoors in some of the most remote and beautiful parts of the world.
While I miss my friends terribly back home and wish I could have stuffed them in the car and take them with me, (along with every other plane ride, airbnb, and country I’ve been). This road-trip was an amazing break away from the hustle and bustle of my usual life. I can’t say I’ll be back to the southwest anytime soon, even though I had to skip the Grand Canyon due to snow, I’m excited for the next chapter coming, so stay tuned, I think we’re going to swap those hiking boots back to high heels very soon. #europeiscalling
