Dependable people are few and far between. But I didn't feel that these last 8 days. I am blessed with people in my life with big hearts. Specifically moms that really get it. Thanking my lucky stars that I'm on the mend after having a crazy kidney infection and being absolutely useless to my children for 8 days. For moms with long term illnesses: cancer, MS, lyme, etc., I know you feel me on this more than anyone. I can imagine the support system not that you HOPE for, but that is actually MANDATORY and REQUIRED. Your tribe/village is your everything to get you through.
****** To all the people reading this, take a moment to think about the friends that have helped you in a time of need. Offered not only once ( once is ok too), but mutiple times, and kept showing up day after day. Send them a quick text and tell them how much they mean ❤️. ********
Any gesture: whether it's flowers on a doorstep, a random bag of groceries, a stop by for a hug, a playdate to take the kids off your hands, a pick up, a drop off to camp, an apple pie, a phone call goes a long way when someone is ill. And as the recipient, when you expect nothing, everything will feel like a precious gift. ********
