Throwback to a fun trip down to the river, around the end of August, when the nights were still warm. I had scouted some spots on the river over the past few trips and had marked out a game plan to try and hook into a few fish from the kayak. I paddled to my first spot and anchored right before the sun dropped behind the trees. Did a quick cut and re-tie with my @line_cutterz
ring to get my gear set up and ready to cast. As soon as the sun was gone, the catfish started roaming, and the fight was on. My first bait was stolen by what I assume to be a large long nose gar, the second hooked into a decent 15lb blue cat. After throwing a third live bait out soaked with @bradleys_bite_enhancer
I hooked into this good size Flathead, who put up a mean fight, coming up than peeling drag and running back to the bottom. His splashing covered me and my gopros in water so the pictures were a big distorted but the memories will last a lifetime! Can’t wait to get back out next season and break those personal bests!
