I was doing the peg board about 4mos ago when things got bad really fast! I pulled the peg with all of my might to advance the wooden piece, but I was on a wall I’d never used before and was not used to how it moved. The peg flew out and I ended up knocking myself out and off of the wall, heard a massive crack and completely blacked out! I was certain I broke my nose!
Fast forward a few months, and peg boards are back in the programming! Each time I get a little flash back of that day and let just a tiny bit of fear settle in. But they came up a few days ago, and I really wanted to get over this thought once and for all. So, mid workout I tried to touch n go a set of climbs just to prove to myself that I was indeed ok, and that I could do it 😄!! I was fatigued and my grip was challenged, but I committed to the thought and trusted my abilities 💥
Seems silly, but I was proud! And yes, about 2 days after the “incident” I went to the gym at about 10/11pm and did a full climb. I couldn’t relax knowing that I was questioning something so much. FAITH OVER FEAR is always the right mindset ✨👊
