Coming into a new gym or going into the gym for the first time can really be a nerve racking experience. People seeing you workout and watching what you do. Worrying what other think and having them judge you. Being a personal trainer we were always told that just getting in the gym was one of the biggest feat for people. . . What people tend to forget is we were all at that beginning point at some time. We all were new to the gym and for the majority of us, understand that fear. To be honest I'm usually so focused on my own workout I can be pretty oblivious to my surroundings. That being said if anyone approaches me with questions I love to answer them and try to explain things the best I can to help. . . For these stressful times there are a few gym etiquette items that everyone should follow. Whether it's your first time or 10000 time in the gym these items should be kept in mind. . 💥Shower, wear clean workout clothes and wear deodorant. It can be so distracting trying to breathe properly when all you can smell is BO. At minimum rock some pit stick. . 💥Wipe down your equipment. You may not stink or sweat at all but it's just common curticy to the person that follows you. You would want a clean machine to get on and so will the people after you. . 💥Put the equipment away where it belongs. Nothing is more frustrating then trying to find a weight and scanning up and down the rack because someone can't count. . 💥In the dumbell area don't workout directly infront of the dumbell's. Don't make people reach around you and wait for you to be done so they can get to their weight. Step back a few steps and give people the space. . 💥Unload the weights when your done. I feel bad seeing some little 100lbs girl having to take all the plates off the leg press after some bodybuilder just left them there. Good for you that you can lift so much, but not everyone can so don't leave the weight on. . 💥1 headphone in means yes I will gladly talk to you. Both headphones in, I'm trying to f__k things up here do don't disturb me. Yes this one can change depending how well you know the person. . 💥leaving a water bottle on something is like reserving⏬⏬continued in comments ⏬⏬

Training is going well - maintaining or beating numbers in my log book. Diet has been consistent - keeping protein moderate/high and tracking calories to ensure I’m in a calorie deficit. And body weight is still dropping which can only mean one thing... Fat loss/muscle retention. - If you’re not logging your training to some degree, and more importantly not tracking your calories it’s just a complete guessing game! This is the main reason people don’t make progress and get frustrated. - If you’re currently frustrated with not making any progress or your rate of progress stop guessing ‘you’ve got a good diet’ or ‘training is going okay’ (cause it quite obviously isn’t). Start taking note of what’s going on in and outside the gym and make a change!☀️💪🏼
Yesterday I sort of asked a trick question in my story 🙃 “How often do you train abs?” * 1-4 times per weeks or hardly ever _____________________ The reason? Many new trainees believe that they must do copious amounts of targeted abdominal exercises to get rid of stubborn belly fat. This couldn’t be MORE WRONG!! NO exercise will reduce fat in that particular area...no mater how often you do it or how hard you train. Period. _____________________ It was sort of a trick question because many trainees who lift heavy enough, indirectly train abs every time they lift...when you lift heavy, you brace your core through every rep. This will build a stronger core faster than doing a million crunches ANY day! _____________________ Directly training abs will simply help to build those particular muscles, but if you aren’t lean enough because your diet isn’t on point, then you’ll never see them...training abs won’t make your belly fat disappear 😩 _____________________ If I’m being real....it isn’t necessarily a sign of fitness or strength to have visible abs...so don’t chase it! Focus on being strong, healthy and happy and if you get abs out of it..great! Ein Vorher-nachher Bild von mir. 👧🏼 Ich finde man sieht schon Unterschiede.. oder was meint ihr? Jedenfalls hat sich nicht nur auf der Waage sondern auch was am Umfang (laut Maßband) getan. 🤗👍 . Ich bin noch nicht ganz da angekommen wo ich hinmöchte, aber ich fühle mich jetzt schon viel besser und ausgeglichener🙄☺ In meiner "schlimmsten" Zeit wog ich 67/68 kg. Nun bin ich bei 62 angekommen. Habe alles ausprobiert an gesunder Ernährung, regelmäßig zum Sport zu gehen und und und Wirklich was gebracht hat das ganze erst als ich angefangen hab Kalorien zu tracken. Denn nur mit einem Kalorien Defizit funktioniert das abnehmen wirklich. Da kann man noch so oft zum Sport, wenn man danach meint sich alles mögliche "gönnen" zu können und am Ende bei Plus Minus 0 Kalorien ist.. nimmt man halt nichts ab. Ich verzichte auf nichts, sondern gönne mir jeden Tag etwas Schokolade oder auch ein Eis. Current conditioning without a pump, just a post cardio pic! 😥 . My current weight is sitting at about 178lbs (80.7kg) This is by far the lightest I have ever been and the leanest I have ever been. I did originally have a goal of reaching 190lbs but I’ve slightly passed that 😂 Things are starting to get tiring and the cravings are huge right now. Yes I have cheated on my diet a couple of times but that’s all part of the process. I’m happy with what results I have got and I’m going to push just a few more pounds. . The dose makes the poison, as they say. Even water can kill you if you drink it in excess. _ 1) The essential amino acid phenylalanine is important for normal body growth and functions. _ However, excessive amounts could lead to brain damage. As 100 g meat contains 16 to 32 more of the stuff than a can of diet soda, that may pose a higher threat than aspartame. _ 2) Extensive research showed aspartic acid, even if consumed in extreme amounts, produced no damage. Happy Sunday, Everybody! Since my off days from work now are Monday, I switched my rest days to Monday’s, AND since the gym here in Virginia doesn’t open until 12 on Sunday’s and I work from 1-9 I did a bit of a work out on the patio this morning with these @bowflex dumbbells. I have not sweat this much in forever. I’ll post what I did below the caption. There is always time to work out and always a way to stay on track with your diet. Over the past 3 years I’ve traveled close to 60 countries and have always found ways and time to hit the gym at least 5 times a week. It’s all about how you prioritize your time. Once things slow down rehearsal wise, I am gonna be posting a video about something I’ve been doing for a while to help others reach their goals and how I could help you reach yours. I’m not saying that these individuals are 100% having their health in mind, but have you spoken to an individual who has gone cold turkey on fast food? . I don’t even go cold turkey on fast food. . If you’re going to use the logic that a diet soda with fast food is pointless, but then promote tactics to lower calorie intake, aren’t you essentially running circles with your logic? . You know how many calories you are eating if you use a food scale and MyFitnessPal. The problem is that not everyone can adhere to that method of tracking food intake. For some people, using a portion-size method is less stressful. It consists of estimating portions for each meal.⠀ -⠀ -⠀ I suggest that you use this method and choose on the higher end of the portion ranges if you are a larger man and on the lower end if you are a smaller female. Then stick to specific portions. For example, every meal, I may eat 2 palms of a protein source, 1 fist of veggies, 2 handfuls of carbs, 1 thumb of fat, and maybe a fruit. ⠀ -⠀ -⠀ I stick to those portions for each meal!!! Only when my weight stalls for 2-3 weeks will I remove a portion. For example, to overcome a plateau, I may only eat 1 handful of a carb source in 2 of my meals instead of eating 2 handfuls in every meal. When we get approached by someone new one of my first questions is always, "tell me how you eat?" The typical response is, "I eat healthy." What they don't understand is I'm not asking this question to truly find out how they eat, I can tell how you eat within seconds of meeting you, your body tells the full story.  I'm asking this question to determine if this person is going to be easy to work with, if they will be honest with me, and if they are going to listen to me.
Acho engraçado dieta ser associada com comer pouco e apenas com alface, frango e batata-doce, quando na verdade o leque de alimentos vai muito além e as quantidades não precisam ser absurdamente baixas. Eu mesmo, consumo de tudo (e mais um pouco hehe) e em quantidades grandes. . Outra coisa que infelizmente ocorre cada vez mais é o medo perante alguns alimentos, "glúten faz mal" "lactose faz mal" "arroz e feijão? Nem pensar!" "Batata só se for a doce". Gente, não é assim! Nenhum destes alimentos precisa ser demonizado e são sim alimentos com boas quantidades de nutrientes. . O que as pessoas precisam entender é que dieta não se trata de viver a base de salada. Na verdade, é muito mais que isso.. Trata-se de mudar o que, como, quanto e quando comer. . Portanto, não faça restrições calóricas severas, não corte 500 alimentos da sua rotina e não se prive de sair e aproveitar momentos. 20 secs on, 10secs off, 10 rounds - Potentially last bit of cardio for a while 😭 Normally try and keep cardio up leading into a comp for as long as possible but will just have to see with my new job. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I say it all the time and nothing will change this opinion; being big and strong is cool, but so is being able to walk up stairs without getting out of breath or not dying on a hike whilst enjoying the great outdoors. If you’re not a truly elite strength athlete don’t skip cardio 👍🏃‍♂️

Sunday Cereal Review!! - The toast crunch family has been enlarged and I will try all of them, starting with blueberry toast crunch!! Hopefully it is as good as Cinnamon Toast Crunch - My review Smell-the smell is very nice blueberry smell very natural and sweet Taste-this is really good I tried it dry first and I wasn’t quite sure what I thought, but then I added the milk and it was amazing. Like blueberry pie maybe. Texture-the texture was very interesting and I absolutely loved it this was a great almost like a toast cereal texture, but it didn’t get soggy fast at all. - 8/10 this was amazing and I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect but I loved it and will try all the others!! - Share this with your Cinnamon Toast Crunch loving friends and let me know which of these you have tried so far.
