When you think of the phrase “eating healthy” what comes to mind? Meal plans? Restrictions of certain foods? The question “Is this food healthy” is one I get asked almost daily. . I’d like to let you in on a little secret. Eating healthy doesn’t always have to suck. You don’t have to stick to a meal plan and eat the same foods everyday. You don’t have to just eat chicken and veggies. And you definitely don’t have to cut out your favorite foods. . You’re probably saying, “Yeah right Heather, so what’s the catch?” But there is no catch. That’s the great thing about flexible dieting and counting your macros. While the majority of your foods should come from whole foods (lean meats, veggies, whole grains, fruits, etc.), you can still enjoy that pizza and ice cream you crave every so often. . Eating the same foods all the time is boring and let’s be honest, can you really eat the same foods everyday for the rest of your life? Chances are, probably not. . Tikka masala out is just unmanageable in terms of calorie load. Especially GOOD Tikka masala, so rich and creamy and delicious. Making it at home makes it doable. Worth every calorie and I’m perfectly full, almost too full. Picked up the mini naan from the grocery store. Krispy Kreme Hershey’s Gold Bar Donut! This is your typical Krispy Kreme yeast donut with caramel glaze and “Hershey’s gold” toppings. While these are very tasty, the Hershey’s Gold flavor is not there. There is a slight saltiness but it’s overpowered by the caramel. Yesterday I dropped this man off at the airport, and I cried. This amazing man who traveled with me to Hawaii, who lifted with me, danced with me, played games with me, drank with me, and even tackled 36 servings of @cubesbaking cake with me for YouTube in a single sitting (which was insanely delicious) went home. When you go out with friends and there are no my fitness pal entries for the meals on the menu, you can still track your calories. - - I usually complete my protein requirement for the day prior to going out and I check out the menu before I get to the restaurant. - - You can’t carry your scale everywhere and you shouldn’t. You dont have to miss every social event because you cant measure your food. ⚡️ Meal Smash Mondays ⚡️ . Most people love a curry but how do you make it healthy and without it be loaded with calories? Look below... . Try this for dinner‼️ . Ingredients (1 serving) ✅ . 1x Chicken Breast 100g Cous Cous (can use rice instead) 1x Onion 150g Tinned/Chopped Tomatoes 1/2 teaspoon Salt 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala 1/2 teaspoon Curry Power 1/4 teaspoon Spice (red) . HOW TO COOK INGREDIANTS: Using Steam Cooker - Cook 'Onions' until golden brown - Add in '150g Tinned Tomatoes' to 'Onions' and bring to near boil - Add all above condiments/spices into the mix - add defrosted/fresh chicken into the steam cooker with the mixture (onions and tinned tomatoes) - cook on slow-medium heat until cooker whistles - place 100g Cous Cous into a bowl and pour boiling water from the kettle over it until it drowns it slightly and let sit for 3-4mins . Ready to serve 🍛 . *you don't have to have a steam cooker to cook this dish, chicken can be cooked in any other way and curry can be cooked in a pan .
