ACHIEVEMENT 💪🏽 A few weeks ago I posted my leg workout and I was telling that in order to build the strength I need to go heavy🔝, do my max, drop the weight and do the rest✔️. ✅Well, yesterday for walking lunges I increased the weight and was able to do it 40 kg for 20, then dropped the weight and did additional 10. Meaning I would probably able to do it 32kg for 30 reps (I used to do 32kg for 20) ✔️I was surprised as it has been a few weeks only. ✅However, the progress is seen. And I really wanted to share my result with you guys, but sometimes you forget to press the button 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ and record only the last sets with no weight. If you ever thought I was without a mark in transforming my body outside of just delts and abs, you'd be mistaken 🙅🏽‍♀️ change leaves things behind. I went from athletic/small at 125 freshman year college (2007) to 146 in 2015, back down to 120 in 2016 and now at 127 but much stronger. Über den Tag hinweg verliert unser Körper in Ruhe bereits ca. 2,5 l Wasser: 0,1 l durch das „große Geschäft“, 0,9 l durch die Atmung & das Schwitzen, 1,5 l durch Urin & bei dieser Auflistung ist der Wasserverlust durch Sport bzw. körperliche Betätigung oder hohe Temperaturen im Sommer noch komplett außer Acht gelassen. Durch diese einfache Rechnung wird ersichtlich, dass es überaus wichtig ist, mindestens den täglichen Wasserverlust auszugleichen & ggf. sogar großzügig zu überschreiten. Wasser ist wichtig, das weiß jeder - aber wieso? Es ist dafür verantwortlich Makronährstoffe, Vitamine & Spurenelemente zwischen den Zellen zu transportieren & somit an zahlreichen Stoffwechselprozessen & einer gesunden Ernährung beteiligt. The aBductors and the aDductors are two muscles in the leg that are often overlooked. We tend to see people on that awkward machine that holds your legs open exposing your crotch to the entire gym, but that is not the most effective way to train these muscles. Two very simple, very basic movements you can do to train these muscles are a Medial Plate Push (aDductor) and a Lateral Band Step (aBductor). These muscles help stabilize the legs during squats. Many times, the aBductor will be tight, and the aDductor will be loose. This will cause the knees to go into valgus (knees go inward) during a squat. Another way to test this is by doing a TRX Pistol Squat. If your body turns inward your aDductors are weak. It’s very important to try to keep the body even. Meaning, we don’t want one side of the body tighter or looser than the other. We also don’t want muscles tighter/looser than its counterpart. For example; we don’t want the left leg stronger than the right, we also don’t want the abs stronger than the lower back. This creates weak points. Weak points lead to injuries, injuries take us from the gym. When we aren’t in he gym we stop making progress. Erica is a member of ours who trains extremely hard. Each and every workout she gives 100%, and her results are a testament to that. Erica had an injury, that injury then caused her to develop some issues with her aBductors, aDductors, and IT Band. She comes to one on one’s and group classes. During her one on ones, we focus on her weak point. We will work them until they become her strong points, and that will happen because she works hard and doesn’t make excuses. Good morning beautiful people 😁 Yesterday I did baccccccck Yay 🙌 Today it's shoulder Boulder training 💪have a great day folks - - You see how the best shoulder exercises are not just front delt movements? That's because the shoulder muscles, the deltoids, are composed of 3 heads: anterior, lateral, and posterior - The anterior, or front, delt has the primary function of shoulder flexion. This is raising up your arm in front of you like in a front raise. But I did not include front raises in this list. That's because your front delts already get enough work from other pressing exercises like bench pressing, so only a little front delt work is even needed. I recommend doing 3-4 sets of OHP or dumbbell shoulder press max for most people most of the time - The lateral, or middle, delt has the primary function of shoulder abduction. This is raising your arm to the side, away from your body. This will be trained by some upright row or lateral raise variation. My favorite exercise is the cable lateral raise because it keeps a more constant resistance curve on the lateral delt. With dumbbells, the bottom of the lateral raise trains mostly the supraspinatus, a rotator cuff muscle. - - The posterior, or rear, delt has the primary function of horizontal abduction. This is bringing your arms out to the sides away from your midline. Imagine a chest fly except in reverse. The best exercises will be some type of rear delt fly, row with your elbows flared, or facepulls. - - With all these exercises, especially the lateral and posterior head of the delt, make sure to develop a mind-muscle connection and focus on training that specific muscle.
