Because rest days are for relaxing, spending time with the people you care about, enjoying the weather, and jumping into the pool when it gets too hot 😎 . . Our bodies need rest in order to recover from training. Nowadays I have 3 rest days per week or more if needed. Listening to your body will help you more to reach those goals! Current workout split: . . 1: Lower Body: Quads, Glutes 2: Upper Body: Back, Biceps 3: Lower Body: Hamstrings, Glutes 4: Upper Body: Triceps, Shoulders, Chest, Abs . . . Usually I would like to train 5-6x a week but at the moment it isn’t realistic for me as I work and try to keep up with my social life. I train usually 1-1,5 hours lifting weights. How to overcome BINGE EATING 🍟🍪🍰 I used to suffer from binge eating. Whenever I started to eat something unhealthy I thought that I have ruined it all and I forced myself to finish it all. Afterwards I would feel extremely sick and guilty. Nowadays I still sometimes tend to overeat sweets but that’s because I’m either too tired and lazy to cook or I have huge cravings! But my thoughts have changed and I no longer feel guilty about it. Here are some tips that have helped me ❤️🙏🏼 . . 1️⃣ Stop restriction and low calorie diets. The more you restrict certain foods the more likely you are going to crave it or think about it. If you feel like an ice cream than have it! 2️⃣Stop being perfect. Nobody is perfect and eats clean food 24/7. We need some treats now and then and it’s completely normal! No guilt should be involved when enjoying life! 3️⃣Stay away from scale. Our weight changes every single day depending on many factors. Take progress pictures instead. 4️⃣Stop CHEAT DAYS. I used to think that on ”cheat days” I could eat 1000000kcal which would lead to binge eating and I would feel bad physically afterwards. Instead have smaller treats throughout the week. 5️⃣Buy healthy food. This way if you binge it’s at least real food like vegetables, fruit etc. 6️⃣Plan your meals. It’s easier to stick to healthy eating when you know what you are going to prepare, rather than going into the kitchen starving. 7️⃣ Find your passion. It can be anything that will distract you from thinking about food. I found a passion for weight lifting. . . Ate healthy Monday-Friday, exercised, slept well then the weekend came .... 🤣 . . I wouldn’t say I was super unhealthy but I definitely wasn’t staying on track and consumed more than I should have for my goals! Didn’t exercise and sleeping was also waay off track! I haven’t always been this confident about my body. In fact I used to be so insecure about it no matter what size I was that I would want to cry when I tried new clothes. Even when I managed to lose 30 kg it didn’t make me any happier! I kept looking at myself in the mirror thinking I am not good enough. . . Last year I decided it’s time to change. I admired all the plus size girls for being so confident and I looked up to them. That day I stopped beating myself up and started to compliment myself, even I didn’t feel like it! Day by day I started to see a change in myself. I started to wear tops, shorts, bikinis,etc. again. I even gained like 15kg but I was mentally the happiest I have been. Nowadays when I look in the mirror and start thinking about my “flaws” I try to remind myself that nobody is perfect, I am shaped differently than other women and I should love myself for who I am while working towards my goals. . . How to reduce belly fat? . . Before I explain what has helped me the most I want to explain that you can’t really spot reduce fat. Some people hold fat in belly, some in thighs... etc. I have it in my arms and no matter what I do it’s the most stubborn area to get rid of! So just remember be patient and work hard. 💕😊 . 1️⃣Eating in a calorific deficit to reduce body fat. Nutrition is the most important! It is 80% of the results if you are wanting to lose fat. This doesn’t always mean eating less, but making BETTER CHOICES. Eat lots of vegetables, protein, good carbs and healthy fats. 🍌🥕🥚 2️⃣Stay active. If you aren’t active daily then try to go for a walk, take those stairs, anything to keep you moving! 💕 3️⃣Include fiber into your diet! Your metabolism loves it. Foods with rich in fiber are avocados, oats, flaxseed, legumes and berries. 🥑🥦 4️⃣ Drink less alcohol and sugary drinks. Replace it with water! Everything in moderation 😊 5️⃣Start lifting weights! When you lift weights you have to be contracting your core muscles so while squatting you are actually working your abs too! 💪🏽 6️⃣ Get enough sleep and stop stressing! One day I decided that I was beautiful. I looked myself in the mirror every single day and told myself that I’m beautiful. After repeating it for a while I started to feel like it. I threw out all the clothes that no longer fitted for me and bought myself some new clothes. I decided that no size or number will ever define me. ✨How to REDUCE CRAVINGS ✨ . . I have been craving lately so bad chocolate, ice cream, anything sweet! It has been hard after Poland to get use to this “no cake for breakfast” 😂 (joking) but I would like to share what helps me to reduce and satisfy my cravings. 💕 . . 1️⃣💦 Drink water! I honestly sometimes confuse hunger with thirst so I always make sure I drink a glass of water before I eat. In the mornings I also drink 0,5l before breakfast. 😊 2️⃣Don’t buy unhealthy food! Honestly the more I see chocolate the more I crave it 🤪 And don’t go to the supermarket starving because you might end up with lots of things you didn’t plan for... 😂 3️⃣Get enough sleep! 😴 Sleep deprivation disrupts the fluctuations which can lead to having strong cravings. 4️⃣Make up some healthy alternatives! Try baking some healthier pancakes from the regular ones or doing sweet potato fries instead of normal ones, etc. I personally like to have vanilla pudding, fruit bowls, cheese flavored rice cakes 😋😋 5️⃣Eat proper meals! Don’t skip your veggies, protein and healthy fats. This way you won’t feel hungry afterwards and will feel fuller for a longer time. ☺️ 6️⃣Remember that it’s completely normal and part of a healthy lifestyle to enjoy treats! I have been feeling lately quite unmotivated to be honest. What you see on Instagram are usually highlights from other people’s lives. What you don’t see are the struggles, the bad days, the frustration... . . Getting back on track has been very hard for me as I’m all the time socializing, seeing my friends and my family - I feel like I haven’t had any time to be alone. Also I don’t want to be that friend who says after not seeing them for a while that “I can’t drink” or “I can’t eat in a restaurant” because that reminds me of the times I had an eating disorder. I want to enjoy life but lately I feel like it’s all I’m doing! Eating, eating, eating some more and drinking. . . This shirt reminds me that I’m stronger than my excuses. How long did it take for you to start seeing results from working out? . . This really depends what you are looking for. I would say if you eat enough healthy food and exercise regularly knowing what you are doing, you can see results in 4 weeks. Of course it takes more time if you want to lose a significant amount of weight or build muscle. So don’t feel discouraged after a week or two. It can take months and years to achieve what you want. Take pictures of yourself every week and compare them every month. You will see results. Just trust the progress. 🙏🏼 . I wanted to address this question because the answer isn’t that simple. I started working out aka dancing since I was a child. Back then I didn’t know what was healthy food and I grew up eating lots of Polish food and unhealthy sweets. 🤪 So basically I was being active but I was still obese because of my eating. 😆 When I turned 19 I started going to the gym. I didn’t really know what to do back then so I was doing lots of cardio. 🤦‍♀️ So nutrition and knowledge are the most important things to achieve results from working out. . . Now my goals are to lean down, gain strength and build more muscle in the future. Trust me I didn’t start working out by knowing everything, because I had no clue. I did research on my own by reading, watching videos, trying workouts, etc. I like to think that my body is still in progress. I feel good but I’m always trying to improve myself by setting up new goals. .☺️ . Just wanted to remind you that it’s okey to have setbacks. It’s okey to fail. It’s okey to take a few steps backwards. Achieving your goals and dreams isn’t straight path. There will be bumps on the road, obstacles and things that will test your will power. . . So please don’t give up if things get hard. I have failed in life hundreds of times and I will do so in the future. That is how we learn. Each time you just have to get up and remind yourself to stay focused. I have been enjoying my holiday with my best friend and had the best New Year ever. 🙂 I'm excited to go back home and get back to my routine but I wish I could bring the sun to Finland! 😂 I think I got enough vitamin D for a month to handle the cold weather... 🙈 From tomorrow on I decided a few goals for myself to stick during January: 1. No alcohol 2. Trying new things at the gym (new movements, and combinations) 3. Treats only once a week! . . . Happy New Year ☀️💕 . . In 2017 I have laughed, danced until my feet hurt, traveled to amazing places, met people from all over the world, lived in a new country, watched the most beautiful sunsets of my life, had so many special moments, discovered new things, ate the most delicious food, drank a bit too much wine, discovered a new passion; started weightlifting, became stronger than ever, learned that a number or a scale won't define me, and most importantly became confident with my own body and started loving my body instead of being ashamed of it. All in all, 2017 has been the BEST YEAR of my life. I can't wait for all the adventures this year. . . 2018 I'm ready for you!
