I have been feeling lately quite unmotivated to be honest. What you see on Instagram are usually highlights from other peopleโ€™s lives. What you donโ€™t see are the struggles, the bad days, the frustration... . . Getting back on track has been very hard for me as Iโ€™m all the time socializing, seeing my friends and my family - I feel like I havenโ€™t had any time to be alone. There are many days where I feel lazy, and honestly couldnโ€™t be bothered to workout. ๐Ÿ™ˆMotivation wonโ€™t always get you going because it depends on your mood. How long did it take for you to start seeing results from working out? . . This really depends what you are looking for. I would say if you eat enough healthy food and exercise regularly knowing what you are doing, you can see results in 4 weeks. Of course it takes more time if you want to lose a significant amount of weight or build muscle. So donโ€™t feel discouraged after a week or two. It can take months and years to achieve what you want. Take pictures of yourself every week and compare them every month. You will see results. Just trust the progress. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ . I wanted to address this question because the answer isnโ€™t that simple. I started working out aka dancing since I was a child. Back then I didnโ€™t know what was healthy food and I grew up eating lots of Polish food and unhealthy sweets. ๐Ÿคช So basically I was being active but I was still obese because of my eating. ๐Ÿ˜† When I turned 19 I started going to the gym. I didnโ€™t really know what to do back then so I was doing lots of cardio. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ So nutrition and knowledge are the most important things to achieve results from working out. . . Now my goals are to lean down, gain strength and build more muscle in the future. Trust me I didnโ€™t start working out by knowing everything, because I had no clue. Myth: Carbs will make you fat. What makes people gain weight is eating more calories than their bodies actually need. In my opinion, low carb diet is not sustainable in the long run. It doesnโ€™t matter if you workout or not - everyone needs carbohydrates. It gives us energy. Our bodies rely on glucose to function optimally, especially our brain. . . Instead of limiting yourself from carbs, focus on smaller portion sizes and choosing on high-fiber, complex carbohydrates that will help you to feel fuller, longer. This doesnโ€™t mean you canโ€™t eat pasta, pizza, etc. Everything in moderation! Iโ€™m currently eating more carbs than ever and feeling always energized and happy. Many girls have told me how I inspire them being so confident. I have to admit Iโ€™m a human too and I donโ€™t feel always confident! How to overcome BINGE EATING ๐ŸŸ๐Ÿช๐Ÿฐ I had a period in my life when I was really stressed and it showed in my eating habits. Iโ€™m going to share some tips how I overcame it. I know that itโ€™s not easy but finding a healthy relationship with food is so important. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ . . 1๏ธโƒฃ Stop restriction and low calorie diets. The more you restrict certain foods the more likely you are going to crave it or think about it. If you feel like an ice cream than have it! 2๏ธโƒฃStop being perfect. Nobody is perfect and eats clean food 24/7. We need some treats now and then and itโ€™s completely normal! No guilt should be involved when enjoying life! 3๏ธโƒฃStay away from scale. Our weight changes every single day depending on many factors. Take progress pictures instead. 4๏ธโƒฃStop CHEAT DAYS. I used to think that on โ€cheat daysโ€ I could eat 1000000kcal which would lead to binge eating and I would feel bad physically afterwards. Instead have smaller treats throughout the week. 5๏ธโƒฃBuy healthy food. This way if you binge itโ€™s at least real food like vegetables, fruit etc. 6๏ธโƒฃPlan your meals. Itโ€™s easier to stick to healthy eating when you know what you are going to prepare, rather than going into the kitchen starving. 7๏ธโƒฃ Find your passion. It can be anything that will distract you from thinking about food. I found a passion for weight lifting. . . Suffered from occasional binge eating, avoiding going to restaurants with my friends, overtraining my body to a point where I felt exhausted. This is not a healthy nor sustainable way to live. . . For the past few weeks I have been no cutting since I was on a holiday (also sick). I have been eating everyday approximately 2000-3000kcal. Have I gained weight? Maybe a little. โœจWhat cardio I do? โœจ . . Now that I'm trying to lose fat I'm doing HIIT 1-3 times a week for about 5-15 minutes depending how Iโ€™m feeling etc. HIIT is a form of interval training where one performs a short burst of high-intensity exercise followed by a brief low-intensity activity, repeatedly, until too exhausted to continue. Research has shown that HIIT regimens successfully produced significant reductions in the fat mass of the whole-body I'm also doing LISS 1-2 week, because as I am a student I don't have a job where I'm walking all the time. Basically Iโ€™m in my bed or at school studying most of the time ๐Ÿคฃ So it's good to go for a walk and stay active. Heart health is very important! โ˜บ๏ธ LISS stands stands for low intensity cardio. Basically, any cardio- and aerobic-based activity that's performed at a low intensity but for a prolonged period typically 30 to 60 minutes. What to do after a weekend of eating everything? (It was a week for me ๐Ÿ˜‚) The answer is just go back to your normal routine! โ˜บ๏ธ No dieting or trying to exercise off the food you ate! If you feel bloated then just drink plenty of water, maybe go for a walk and go back to your regular eating. Donโ€™t eat too little because your body wonโ€™t understand that! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ . . Many people have asked me how many "cheat meals" I have. I personally like to keep my diet 80% healthy food (vegetables, fruits, protein, healthy fats and good carbs) and 20% of fun foods. ๐Ÿ˜ Life is too short to not eat chocolate...๐Ÿ˜… . . It flushes out excessive sodium to feel de-bloated, curbs appetite and boost up the metabolism. I have 2 glasses before breakfast and keep drinking it throughout the day. ๐Ÿ’ฆ 2๏ธโƒฃMake a plan. Decide which days you will workout and commit to it. Be realistic with yourself, if you are new to working out even 2-3 days a week will make a difference. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ 3๏ธโƒฃBuy healthy food. If you are surrounded by only treats, it's better to buy some veggies, fruits, grains, healthy fats and protein- so that your body will get all the nutrients it needs. ๐Ÿ‰ 4๏ธโƒฃStay active. Choose stairs instead of the elevator or walk to the shop instead of got there with a car. Take the most out of the holidays and get moving! But I somehow have sized up in my ๐Ÿ‘ so the XS size (which I bought last year) couldn't just handle my booty ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™ˆ I completely forgot that they were that size... should have checked LOL! . . So instead of doing a HIIT which I was really excited about, I did a long LISS session on the elliptical. (Hiding myself from everyone ๐Ÿ˜…) I used to do it on a incline treadmill, but lately I have been friends with the other machine. ๐Ÿ™ƒ Seriously though I'm really sad this happened ๐Ÿ˜ซ, but at least I got a good workout session done! ๐Ÿ’ง๐Ÿ’งIt was basically an hour sweating my ass off on the elliptical! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Guess I'm done for the cardio of the week... . . .
