Can’t Beet Me Smoothie this weekend... bowl-edition😛 The weather cooled down to 62 degrees in the morning (peep the long sleeves) but I was still craving this! I added some of my homemade granola on top and it was a fantastic way to refuel after my morning spin class💪🏻🔋

Many of you have been asking about my dinners lately- I've been slow on posting them!
Hubs has been working insanely late & to make full dinners for 1 is hard, so I've had my fair share of eggs or mini charcuterie boards for dinner!
But we have managed to have some family dinners.. with a lot of BBQing. Here are a few of our dishes the last 2 weeks (w/ @wwcanada

Don't get confused by the fried rice in my story and this one! They are slightly different but essentially the same 🙂 Both are vegetarian but this one includes chickpeas as well instead of sweetcorn ❤️ Chickpeas were my protein substitute and I really love them so much 😙

BEFORE YOU GET MAD THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS TO THIS MESSAGE BELOW!
I love this post, because I have been asked about this from time to time.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS! 🛑 ✋
It is not safe to wean a baby to keto diet. Or put a toddler or child on a keto diet. Or a teen, for that matter. OR MAYBE EVEN YOU, THE ADULT
Do kids need carbs? Children need about 45-65% of their calories to come from carbohydrates. At a bare minimum, they need 130g of carbohydrates per day to fuel their brains. ⠀
I'm not suggesting you count carbs for your kids. Just wanting to show you that it's really important for kids to have carbohydrates!⠀
Kids can get carbs a bunch of ways. My favorite carb sources for kids:⠀
🍠veggies, especially starchy veggies⠀
🥜beans & lentils⠀
🥞honey & maple syrup⠀
🥛milk and yogurt⠀
My kids definitely love carbs. Do yours? ⠀
Exceptions to the above: the #Ketogenic
diet is an evidenced-based medical diet for treating children and adults with hard-to-treat epilepsy. There may be other medical conditions in which less carbohydrates are recommended under the supervision of a dietitian or doctor.

She is amazing you should follow her!
And again, hello everyone! Today’s wonderful sunny day inspired me to cook something unusual, fresh, bright, full of taste! What about a salad with grilled peaches and a mint sauce?
⠀6 slices of halumi cheese
⠀5 sprigs of mint
⠀2 tbsp olive oil
⠀2 tbsp lime juice
⠀1 tbspl of honey
Wash the spinach and place on the bottom of the plate, fry peaches and halumi on the grill (I have a home electric one, but I'm sure you can do it on a frying pan) for 2 minutes on average heat. For sauce, chop mint and mix with honey, oil and lime juice. Serve with roasted pine nuts.
Wonna try already? I do! .. so I ran to eat! 😉

Oh wow hello! 😅 here’s my tasty lunch from today! Fresh bread from the farm shop, with lemon and herb blackened chicken, lettuce, herb mayo and a small bit of cheddar! Was fucking delicious 😍
Hope everyone’s enjoying the scorching weather! I decided against the gym as it’s far to hot for that shit and decided to enjoy the day outside chilling! The gym will be there tomorrow so I’m not bothered! Still keeping my eating clean (until the cinema later) all will be good! ✨
Choose nature, live healthier!
It is so exciting to see the diversity in offerings that the nature has!
The wild vegetables & seeds continue to allure us and inspire to create new culinery collaborations and work.
In our second year of explorations and celebrating regional vegetarian cusines using local produce, we go deeper layer by layer highlighting the native variety of vegetables which are not cultivated but grow in abundance seasonally esp in pre-monsoon & continue to show up during the entire monsoon.
TheEliteTasteVilla hopes & looks forward to bring up such unheard of produce, much helpful to maintain good health, ecology balance & have stories of their own; to the mainstream canvas in order to hold the heritage high.
The forest & farm produce that is trurly native remains very humble hence, goes unrecognized in the mainstream culinery work.
In the quest of such incredible diversity in nature & in the heritage of culinery art that has been with the civilizations ever since the existence, we hope to create awareness, bring culinery professionals/leaders/nutritionists/historians/people together & inspire towards bringing this diversity on the table.
Hoping to have positive impact!
Kurdu - Silver cockscomb, Celosia argentea; Lagos spinach; Quail grass.
Edible: The leaves, young stems and young inflorescences are edible and readily soften up in cooking.
It's one the easiest to cook and tasty leafy green. Helps balance 'kapha'.
Adapt it into strews, curries, dry veggies, paratha and it will suprise you with the tasty flavour that it has to offer.

5 WAYS TO BEAT THE HEAT DURING YOUR SUMMER RUN (PART 1)
Exercising in the great outdoors comes with some potential risks though, especially in the heat of summer. In order to maximize your workout and keep your body in top performance mode, keep these five simple tips in mind:
RUN AT OPTIMAL TIMES.
If your region experiences hot temperatures for summer—80 degrees or higher—it’s probably not a great idea to run/bike/hike in the middle of the day when the sun blazes warmest. Instead, choose dawn or dusk for running, or (carefully) run during a late afternoon rain shower to avoid overheating in direct sunlight.
Protect your skin and eyes. With the earth receiving the most direct sunlight in the summer time, it’s imperative to protect the skin with sweat-proof sunblock in an appropriate SPF, and to guard the eyes with 100% UV protectant sunglasses. Even if you have naturally golden skin and dark eyes, it’s still important to block harmful UV rays, and protect your peepers not only from the sun, but also from potential harmful debris and dust on your route.

Pancakes, I missed you so much!🥞💞 So happy I finally had enough time this morn to make some.😌
As usual, I used a @sweeterthanabumblebee
recipe (the banana oat one, specifically)!😊 I filled the pancakes with fresh blueberries and topped them with a bit of Pennsylvania maple syrup I bought at @neighborhoodflea.
A fresh and perfect yellow nectarine on the side!💛

When looking at products to add to your wellness routine I always advise people to ask themselves: is it safe for the 3 most fragile populations? If not, then I wouldn’t take it. This is hands down the most simple and doable goals towards wellness... towards true healing. We don’t need more supplements filled with who knows what. We need more whole food, unfortunately too many servings to count because of our polluted world🤦🏼♀️but that’s difficult to do daily and I get it. For our family, this has been the best solution for this last year. It’s not a miracle pill 💊 (you don’t want a quick fix anyways🙅🏼♀️) after all it’s just concentrated fruits and veggie but clinical research speaks for itself. Healthy cells=healthy life. ➡️Ask Siri: what is the most researched nutritional product in the world? She’ll give you the answer
