We are embarking upon a reduced sugar experiment with our kids...namely Ryan (age 11). His candy consumption is a bit out of control and our hope is to educate, empower and instill self discipline. Ryan has done some research about sugar in regards to its health benefits and health deficits. He quickly determined that the deficits outweigh the benefits. #shocker
💁🏻♀️ We then researched how much sugar an adult male should have each day (37.5g). No, Ryan is not an adult but it is a small enough number that I’m comfortable using that number as a guideline. We have decided for the purposes of this experiment to not count the sugar found in fruit. This mornings breakfast is fruit laden with a healthy serving of pasture raised scrambled eggs. Let the experiment begin! 🤓 #teamryan #countingsugargrams #candyaddict
Beautiful cold crisp morning and off to Bentley’s vision therapy appointment.
They will be doing a check up on his progression and how the sessions are going.
We have met the maximum that is covered by insurance so we want to make sure it is working. It’s a pretty penny per visit and it’s important for his vision in the long run that he’s getting the best care.
Got my shake in hand as I had very little time to wake up, get my workout in early, shower and get us all out the door!
What would a mama do without an easy breakfast! 🙌🏻

When you are gone all weekend and breakfast food is next to none... toast it is!
Now, mine didn’t look this scrumptious, but it inspires me to be creative & healthy.
Boys all have their favorites; Linc loves cream cheese and jam, Asa likes cocoa & almond butter & Ash loves Kerry gold butter with cinnamon.
So tell me... what is your favorite thing to put on your morning toast???? Give me all the ideas.
I’m currently crushing on mashed avocado on organic raisin!

Happy Monday! ✨
Here’s a shot of yesterday’s oats, topped with figs, frozen raspberries, muesli, pumpkin seeds, goji berries and cacao nibs.
Have a great week lovelies 💕 #showusyouroats #plantpower
These are a few of my favourite things... lilies, coffee and overnight oats!! Super easy to make -
Equal parts oats and your milk of choice (I use almond milk)
Then fruit layer, this one was peaches, I also love using cherries and berries or cinnamon apples!
Then yoghurt layer, I use @alpro
Then I heated some marmalade - I love @stdalfouruk
because it’s all natural sugars only! Once liquid form again I pour on top.
Then a sprinkle of coconut, cover and chill over night!!
Perfect for an easy breakfast, although the truth is this was yesterday’s set up... 5 days of of 7 this is served in Tupperware!! #vegan #plantbased #overnightoats #oatlover #coffee #breakfast #home #lifestyle #balance #easybreakfast #goodfood
I have been making my own cereal for a year now but essential oils just take it to the next level and make it out of this world delicious 👌🏻😍
Homemade granola/muesli is so easy to make for a fraction of the price of store bought brands - it’s also much better for you.
Feel free to get creative with ingredients and don’t forget your Greek yoghurt and berries to top it off - you will never go back.
DRY INGREDIENTS - examples
3 cups rolled oats
Other nuts and fruit as desired.
WET INGREDIENTS - examples
1/2 cup Pure maple syrup
1/2 cup Coconut oil
Wild Orange essential oil
Frankincense essential oil
Cinnamon essential oil
1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
2. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
3. Add essential oils to coconut oils to ensure even spread, then add wet ingredients.
4. Add to ovenproof dish and bake for 10-15 minutes stirring often.
This dish is incredibly flexible - as long as you’ve got oats and something wet to combine it with (honey also works) you can throw in whatever you’ve got in the cupboard. ⠀⠀
The most important advice I can give you is don’t burn it!!! The longer you leave it the crispier and more “granola-like” it will be but always stir often and pull it out just BEFORE you think it’s ready as it will continue to harden as it cools. Burnt cereal tastes like crap, trust me.
Good luck and happy baking, you will never think of breakfast the same again ❤️
Shocking I know 😋 Need to start studying hard this week 🙃 Hopefully my eating doesn’t go out of the window.
Buon inizio settimana!
🌎I can’t think that’s Monday again!🤦🏼♀️Fortunately yesterday I prepared this cake with banana: a sweet breakfast for a hard day! Good beginning of the week!
I experimented with some breakfast muffins I can quickly reheat before I get my workout in tomorrow morning. I’ll post the recipe in my stories! ❤️💚💛🥄
❤️ Oatmeal Banana nut muffins ❤️ 1 and 1/2 cup oat flour (blend oat meal in the blender till it looks like flour)
1/4 cup vegan butter melted
2 sliced bananas
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp corn starch
*pinch of salt
1/4 cup non dairy milk
1/2 cup walnuts (or more I like walnuts ☺️) Grease muffin tin set aside
Preheat oven to 350
Mix melted butter and sugars together well all the wet stuff throw it in the bowl, stir slowly, add the dry ingredients the flour, salt, baking power..finally fold in the walnuts and the sliced bananas. Fill the muffin tin bake for 30-35 minutes on 350 (use a toothpick to test muffins when done if toothpick comes out clean they’re done! If not bake 5 more minutes!) #veganrecipes #veganfood #oatmealmuffins #veganbreakfast #veganfoodshare #veganeats #mealprepsunday #mealprepoptions #easybreakfast #easyveganmeals

Halo Halo Porridge with Red River Cereal
Follow the hashtag #PrimroseInstantPot
on Instagram for a unique, easy, and delicious weekly recipe for your electronic pressure cooker.
The first time I had Red River Cereal was at the Raw: Almond Brunch, literally on the Red River, made by @tallestpoppy.
I fell in love with the creaminess and coarse texture that was more complex than any oatmeal or porridge I've tried before. I bought a box (only available in Canada), followed the instructions... And it was nasty. Tasteless, gritty, and just bleh. I played with the cooking times and liquid ratio, adding cream and different sugars, and created something magical. On the stovetop, it takes me 45+ mins of stirring and constantly adding liquid. Then I switched to the Instant Pot which uses less liquid, less time, and less stirring.
Halo Halo is a Filipino dessert with candied fruits and beans with shaved ice and evaporated milk. I like to switch up my porridge with the exotic sweetness of Halo Halo toppings.
Ingredients for 4 servings:
1 tbsp buttter
3/4 cup Red River Cereal (can sub w/ steel cut oats w/ flax seeds)
Pinch of salt
2 cups water
1 can evaporated milk or coconut milk (can sub with half and half or cream)
1/4 cup brown sugar
I used avocado, jackfruit, dried mango, and Nata de Coco, but you can use any combination of fresh or canned fruit.
- on Sautée setting, melt butter, then add Red River Cereal and stir to toast until nutty smelling
- add water, milk, and salt
- turn off, lock lid, and press Porridge button or set manually for 20 mins
- when done, natural release after 15 mins
- remove lid, mixture will be lumpy, stir until smooth, stir in sugar
- transfer to bowls and add toppings

🌴🍍Tropical Vibes 🍍🌴only on this Sunday morning ☀️!
This has been in the works for a few days lol!
If you’ve been watching my story, then you know about the coconut 🥥 kefir I’ve been fermenting.
I turned that plain coconut kefir into a thick creamy mango kefir, AND THENN I made it into a mango coconut kefir chia pudding 😍😋!
And thennnnn (if you’ve seen Dude Where’s My Car, you’ll get the AND THENNNs) I turned it into an ummm mango sunrise ☀️(that’s what we will call it for now) GUT LOVING chia pudding parfait 🌴!
—> All dairy-free and gluten-free 🙌🏻!
Layered in there is my NEW almond butter granola.
I am so happy right now 😁!
Just to review...what’s coconut 🥥 kefir you ask?! And how’s it good for my gut?!
—> My coconut kefir is dairy-free. It’s made of full fat coconut cream and probiotics. It’s then fermented for around 24hrs. Basically you get a fermented coconut drink OR depending on how you do it, a dairy-free yogurt.
—> So why is it gut loving ❤️?
It’s loaded with healthy, living good bacteria that your gut needs.
You need probiotics to help your gut absorb nutrients and to keep up a good functioning immune system.
Easy to make and totally awesome for meal prep time 🙌🏻!
Who needs a full video 📹 on how to make this?

Chia pudding made with homemade cashew milk, raw honey, almond butter, @frontiercoop
organic vanilla, cinnamon & topped with cooked banana. 🍯🥜🍌🥛 *Approximately 3 tablespoons chia seed to 2 cups liquid. Add whatever you prefer to the mix before or after soaking for the night. We decided to heat ours this morning.
Brunchin’ from home on this slow Sunday 🙌🏼
I am a HUGE fan of @kitehillfoods
chive cream cheese, but I didn’t have any on hand and didn’t want to make a grocery store run in my PJs. So I scoured my fridge for ingredients and put together my own take of it and it turned out to be something special.
Blend/mix together (I used my nutribullet) plain cream cheese, lemon juice, a little lemon zest, a bunch of fresh parsley, and @traderjoes
Everything But The Bagel Seasoning. There you have it - cream cheese on another level! Spread over toast, add some eggies, and of course, even more bagel seasoning 🤤
I hope you guys all got to enjoy a slow Sunday morning before we start another week!
There are deep aspects of feeling the cure. Part of feeling the cure is simple. Just tune in to how your breakfast makes you feel and then compare that to how congee for breakfast feels in your belly. Basic. However, in Chinese medicine congee is also important for your mental/emotional state.
Decision making is the domain of the Gallbladder. In Chinese medicine every organ has an associated emotion as well as governing certain aspects of metal function. Too many decisions is hard on the Gallbladder and someone with a weak or toxic Gallbladder will have trouble making decisions. Having a breakfast plan in place that you know is healthy and makes you feel great reduces the stress and fatigue of so much decision making in the rush of busy mornings. Wake up to your warm, healthy, satisfying breakfast ready and waiting.
Have you felt the cure for yourself?
