This has been my go to dinner for a while. Quick, easy and so yummy. I try and make sure 1 of my main meals is a raw meal or majority raw with turkey mince rissoles or chicken rissoles. So yummy! This salad consists of baby cos lettece and baby spinach, cucumber, cherry tomatos, avocado, feta and some roasted kumara bites drizzled with a little dressing. I was so tired today and i think im coming down with something and all i wanted to do was go down the road and grab fish and chips. But i knew if i did, the guilt and bloating of the after effects would not be worth it. Having to cook for a fussy 2 year old also isnt always easy or fun. Again another reason for wanting the fish and chips but she had a rissole and i cooked some chips when i roasted my kumara and she had some avocado on the side. Armies fighting for us. But she also reminded me of the need to put on the armor of God every day.
The enemy works to confuse and weaken our prayers. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians 6:12-13.
If focus is impossible in prayer, there is very good chance the enemy is running interference.
Here are five things to do to help stay focused in prayer and win the battle:
Pray Scripture or at least read your Bible before you jump into prayer.
Be aware of the spiritual battle. Put on the armor, Eph. 6:10-19.
Speak the name of Jesus. The authority of His name weakens the enemy.
Write down your prayers in a journal.
Pray out loud.
And remember, you are not alone. You’re not bad or less spiritual. You just need Divine help to pray, just like the rest of us.

A little thing I do, to keep me going, is to reward myself, after I've reached goals and earned the reward. My wrist wraps I earned for myself after a year in the gym. Today is was this Golds Gym Tank. Someday it will be a Pitbull or two, just like @bradleymartyn

I got back in the gym this week after feeling off lately. I've been stressed out and my roller coaster eating habits reflect that. I am the heaviest I have ever been at 227. I'm pretty much disgusted with myself and the fact that I can't seem to bounce back as easily as I used to after I was taking meds. In the last 6 months I've gained about 35 pounds. That just gave me more anxiety. Not. Good. I'm not on the meds anymore and don't need them (and requested to be off of them). I'm dealing with my anxiety (which isn't as severe now) by trying to keep busy and by exercising. I'm 3/3 days in the gym so far this week, so I'm trying to hit my 5 day goal. Ran a mile today on the treadmill with a 16:30 time (walking some in-between), but I did my goal of a mile a day. #strongereveryday #dontquit #fitnessjourney #fitness #goals
