I was having a conversation with someone about me finishing school and they replied with, “it doesn’t really count.” Meaning just because I do distance education or homeschool, it doesn’t mean I’ve done the hard work. Okay yes, I do my school work from home, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t had to face the struggles, stress and workload any less. I definitely feel when I tell people or talk to people about my “unconventional” way of finishing school they have that automatic judgement, but what people don’t understand is that I’ve had to learn discipline and hard work to a whole new level. Although, I follow the same curriculum as “normal school”, I have to read, learn and write everything on my own accord, there’s no teacher to teach the class (I do have teachers I can email and call for help😊), no input from other classmates, nothing to copy from a board and no simple raise the hand and the teacher will come. I could easily not do any school work and chill around all day, but my self discipline has changed. I made this choice, and I’ve worked hard for my academic achievements. People also forget about the fact that I did attend public school from K-8 and I had some great times (mostly year 7) but “normal” school was always hard for me. I will not be told my way of schooling makes me any less than the next person, and by me choosing happiness, it “doesn’t really count.” ✨(sorry for grammar and punctuation errors I could be fked to check)
Hearty brunch at the newest spot in town ❤ On the table, we've got Buenos Dias (Mexican Rancher's eggs), Bananarama (banana filled crêpe with choc chip granola and vanilla ice cream), Dragon's Breath (smoothie bowl), classic cafè latte, and a vanilla earl grey milk shake.
The atmosphere was buzzing, I enjoyed my crêpe, their menu was impressively diverse, and overall, the flavours of everything we had was perfect for anyone missing a good brunch. That being said, I feel that their kitchen currently lacks the magic touch that makes the best food more-ish.
What we did not appreciate, however, was that they replaced the sweet potato fries on our Gila for Guac grilled sandwich (not pictured here) because they ran out, without first informing us. It would have actually changed our preference of orders. Also, they actually forgot to put guacamole in it until we enquired why it was missing, and that was quite a let down for the sandwich's namesake. At least they were apologetic about it, and the pulled beef was delicious.
Issues aside, it's definitely a good place for catching up with a good friend like I did (and perhaps not for rushed lunch hours). Thank you again, Marcella, for the bubbly company - it was really good to see you again :) Let's not wait 1.5 years for the next one.

The most common question students get asked is "what are you going to do when you leave school?" The question we ask is "who are you going to be?" www.catalyst.edu.au

How does the sky do this?! 😍
The past two years have been a huge awakening on the importance of working on myself. We spend our whole lives doing and reacting to situations we’ve gone through and we forget to look inside and analyze why we do the things we do or why we think the things we think. We repeat patterns without knowing it and then get caught up in a never ending cycle that leaves us feeling overwhelmed because we failed to identify those patterns before. I’m starting this new thing of trying to sit down and write a little bit each day to discover what makes me happy, what makes me shine as a person and what truly matters to me and where I got lost. I challenge you to do the same... it’s not as easy as it looks.

An unforgettable night in the Sahara that wasn't easy to achieve. Sometimes traveling abroad can be exhausting, expensive, and unpredictable, but all the frustration and anxiety seem worth it when you find a view like this.
